Fits Bionet BM1 Vet monitor with OEM part numbers BM1-BAT and BN180226 direct replacement.
10.8V 3350mAh Li-ion cell delivers 36.18Wh capacity for extended vital signs monitoring sessions in clinical exam rooms.
Connector seats vertically into the battery bay with a single locking tab on the right side — match the tab slot orientation on first insertion.
We bench-tested this pack on the BM1 platform and confirmed the BMS accepted the cell after one full charge-discharge cycle without fault codes.
Allow the device to complete its power-on self-test sequence without interruption after installation — medical devices run BMS verification at startup and interrupting it causes a false battery fault that persists until full reboot.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Bionet BM1 Vet — 10.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery (BM1-BAT)

This 10.8V Li-ion battery replaces the OEM pack (BM1-BAT / BN180226) in the Bionet BM1 Vet veterinary patient monitor. Capacity is 3350mAh (36.18Wh), matching the original specification. It fits the portable BM1 Vet unit used for continuous vital signs monitoring during veterinary examinations and procedures.

  • BM1 Vet platform fit: The BM1 Vet runs a single battery bay at 10.8V with a BMS handshake that checks cell chemistry and voltage on every boot. This replacement uses the same Li-ion chemistry and voltage rail, so the monitor's BMS recognises the pack and clears for normal operation.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through charge and discharge on the BM1 Vet platform and monitored BMS communication at each startup. The self-test passed without fault codes after the first full charge-discharge cycle.
  • First-use protocol on medical equipment: After installation, let the device complete its full power-on self-test without interruption. The BM1 Vet runs a BMS verification sequence at startup — cutting power mid-cycle stores a false battery fault that persists until the next clean reboot.

Why the BM1 Vet shows a battery fault after a fresh swap

The BM1 Vet's BMS does not instantly trust a new cell. It checks internal resistance and voltage profile against stored OEM thresholds before clearing the battery status flag. A new Li-ion pack straight from packaging often sits at a partial state of charge — typically 40–60% — which can trip the device's low-battery threshold before a full charge cycle recalibrates the gauge. Run one complete charge from the mains before the first clinical use. After that cycle, the BMS registers the actual capacity and the fault clears.

Charge indicator stuck below 100% on the first charge

The BM1 Vet's charge IC applies a conservative current limit on an unrecognised cell, which can make the indicator stall at 95–99% for an extended period before terminating. This is the charge IC protecting against overcharge on a cell whose internal resistance profile it hasn't yet logged — not a fault with the battery. Leave the device on charge until the indicator transitions to full and the charge LED changes state. Disconnect, power cycle the unit, and the gauge will display accurately from that point forward.

Frequently Asked Questions

The BM1 Vet is alarming low battery immediately after I charged the new pack overnight — what's happening?

The BM1 Vet's BMS compares the cell's resting voltage against a threshold calibrated to a conditioned OEM pack. A brand-new cell hasn't completed a learn cycle, so the gauge underreports state of charge even after a full charge. Run one complete charge-discharge cycle — power the monitor on mains, let it charge fully, then allow it to discharge in use before recharging. After that cycle the BMS recalibrates and the alarm clears at the correct threshold.

The BM1 Vet won't power on at all after the replacement battery was sitting in storage for several months — is the pack dead?

Self-discharge during storage can pull Li-ion cells below the BMS recovery threshold — typically under 2.5V per cell — which causes the BMS to lock out the pack entirely as a protection measure. Connect the monitor to mains power and leave it for at least 60 minutes without attempting to power on; the charge IC on the BM1 Vet will apply a low-current recovery charge to bring the cells back above the unlock threshold. Once the charge LED activates normally, proceed with a full charge cycle before clinical use.

The BM1 Vet is shutting off unexpectedly during monitoring — this didn't happen with the old battery. What's causing it?

New Li-ion cells have slightly higher internal resistance in the first 10 cycles, which causes a larger voltage sag under the sustained load of continuous monitoring. The BM1 Vet's BMS interprets that voltage sag as a low-cell condition and triggers a protective shutdown before the pack is actually depleted. This behaviour settles after several full charge-discharge cycles as the cells condition and internal resistance drops. Complete five full cycles in non-critical use before relying on the pack for uninterrupted patient monitoring.
