Fits BlackView A80 Pro smartphone; replaces OEM battery DK017.
Voltage 3.85V and 4000mAh capacity restore full charge cycles on the A80 Pro after original battery degradation.
Connector type is proprietary contact strip; battery seats flush against the phone frame with no locking tab required.
We bench-tested this cell on the A80 Pro fuel gauge IC; BMS accepted the pack and delivered stable voltage under load without early cutoff.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle — this lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

BlackView A80 Pro — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (DK017)

This is a 3.85V, 4000mAh Li-Polymer replacement battery for the BlackView A80 Pro smartphone. It uses OEM part number DK017 and matches the original cell's voltage, physical dimensions, and connector. Fit the original battery no longer holding a charge or the phone shutting down unexpectedly, this cell restores full operation.

  • A80 Pro cell compatibility: The A80 Pro uses a sealed unibody chassis with a dedicated battery bay sized for an 86.40 × 63.30 × 4.40mm cell. The DK017 matches those dimensions exactly and connects via the original flex-ribbon connector, so no modification to the bay or connector is needed.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the A80 Pro platform. The BMS handshake completed on first cycle, charge IC accepted the cell without error flags, and the fuel gauge IC began tracking state-of-charge correctly after one full discharge.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-charge cycle at standard rate. This lets the fuel gauge IC map its coulomb counter against the new cell's actual discharge curve before high-current charging pushes current into an uncalibrated cell.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the A80 Pro after a cell swap

This happens because the fuel gauge IC is still running the discharge curve from the old degraded cell. The new cell has a steeper voltage drop at lower states of charge than the IC expects, so the phone sees a voltage cliff and cuts power before the display hits 0%. One full slow discharge-charge cycle after installation forces the coulomb counter to relearn the new cell's curve. After that cycle, the shutdowns stop.

Phone not powering on after the replacement cell sat in storage

Li-Polymer cells self-discharge during storage. If the cell voltage drops below 2.5V per cell, the BMS trips a deep-discharge lockout and blocks current flow to protect the cell from damage. The phone will not power on and may not show any charging indicator at first. Connect to a wall charger — not USB from a PC — and leave it for 20–30 minutes before attempting to power on. The charge IC will trickle current into the cell to bring voltage above the BMS recovery threshold, typically around 3.0V.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does my BlackView A80 Pro show the wrong battery percentage after fitting the new DK017 cell?

The fuel gauge IC calibrated its coulomb counter to the discharge curve of the old, degraded cell. The new 4000mAh Li-Polymer cell has a different curve, so the IC's stored reference is wrong. Run one full discharge — let the phone shut itself off — then charge uninterrupted to 100% at standard rate with fast charge disabled. After that single cycle, the IC recalibrates and percentage readings stabilise.

Fast charging stopped working on the A80 Pro after I replaced the battery — what happened?

On the first cycle after a cell swap, the charge IC on the A80 Pro re-negotiates the USB-PD or proprietary fast-charge handshake against the new cell's impedance profile. Some units default to standard charge rate until that handshake completes successfully. Complete one full charge-discharge cycle at standard rate, then reconnect with a fast-charge-capable adapter. The protocol should re-enable at that point — confirm by checking that the phone displays its fast-charge indicator within 30 seconds of plugging in.

The A80 Pro feels warm near the battery area while charging the new cell — is that normal?

A new high-impedance Li-Polymer cell generates more heat than a broken-in cell during the first few charge cycles as the charge IC adjusts its current regulation. This is expected and reduces after two or three full cycles. Keep the phone out of its case during charging for the first three cycles to allow heat to dissipate. If warmth persists beyond cycle three or the phone becomes hot to the touch, check that the cell is seated flat against the chassis with no gap — a partially unseated cell raises contact resistance and increases localised heating.
