Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Bea-fon AL560 — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (AL560)
This 3.7V, 1600mAh Li-Polymer battery replaces the original cell in the Bea-fon AL560 mobile phone. It fits the AL560 directly, matching the original connector and physical dimensions of 59.60 × 38.80 × 7.50mm. Capacity is rated at 5.92Wh, consistent with the factory specification for this handset.
- AL560 fit: The AL560 uses a single Li-Polymer cell at 3.7V nominal. The BMS handshake on this phone is straightforward — no proprietary authentication chip — so the replacement cell communicates cleanly with the charge IC provided the connector seats fully.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the AL560 platform. The BMS accepted the cell on first contact, charge IC ramped normally through CC/CV stages, and the protection circuit tripped correctly at the low-voltage cutoff threshold.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first cycle: After fitting this replacement, run one complete discharge to phone-off, then charge uninterrupted to 100% before normal use. The AL560 fuel gauge IC carries the old cell's discharge curve in memory — this first full cycle overwrites it and stops the percentage counter from drifting mid-day.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the AL560 after a cell swap
This is a voltage cliff issue, not a capacity defect. The AL560's fuel gauge IC was calibrated to the discharge curve of the original, degraded cell — which sagged at different voltage points than a fresh cell. When the modem transmits or the backlight fires at high brightness, current draw spikes and the new cell's voltage briefly drops below the emergency cutoff threshold, even though the reported percentage looks healthy. The fix is one complete discharge-to-shutdown followed by an uninterrupted full charge. After that single recalibration cycle, the fuel gauge re-maps the voltage-to-percentage curve against the new cell and the shutdowns stop. Confirm the recalibration worked by checking that the phone reaches 3.7V resting voltage at the 50% mark.
AL560 not powering on after the replacement battery sat in storage
Li-Polymer cells self-discharge in storage, and if the voltage drops below approximately 2.5V per cell, the BMS locks out to prevent damage — the phone will show nothing on screen and may not respond to the charger immediately. Plug the AL560 into a wall charger (not a PC USB port, which may not supply enough current to wake a locked-out BMS) and leave it for 15–20 minutes without pressing any button. The charge IC will trickle current into the cell at a low rate until the BMS re-initialises, after which normal charging begins. If the phone still shows no response after 30 minutes on a wall charger, check that the battery connector is fully seated — an unseated connector is the most common cause after a fresh install.

Frequently Asked Questions
The AL560 shows 25% battery and then shuts off without warning — is the new cell faulty?
The cell is almost certainly fine. The AL560's fuel gauge IC retains the discharge curve of the old, worn cell after a swap, so it misreads the new cell's voltage under load. When the modem or screen draws a current spike, the real voltage dips below the emergency cutoff even though the displayed percentage looks safe. Run one full discharge to phone-off, then charge to 100% without interruption — after that cycle the fuel gauge re-maps to the new cell and the shutdowns stop. Confirm it worked by checking the phone holds above 3.65V at rest when the gauge reads 50%.
The battery percentage on my AL560 jumps around erratically after fitting the replacement — sometimes it goes up while I'm using the phone.
This is the coulomb counter recalibrating against an unfamiliar cell. The AL560 fuel gauge IC tracks charge by counting current in and out, but its reference table was built from the original cell's impedance profile. A fresh Li-Polymer cell has lower internal resistance, so the counter loses sync and the percentage reading becomes unstable. One complete discharge-to-shutdown followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% resets the reference table. After that single cycle, erratic jumps resolve and the gauge tracks accurately again.
The AL560 feels warm near the battery while charging with the new cell installed — is that normal?
Some warmth during the first few charge cycles is expected with a new Li-Polymer cell. A fresh cell has slightly higher impedance than a broken-in one, so the charge IC dissipates marginally more energy as heat during the constant-current phase. The phone should not be hot to the touch — warm is acceptable, hot is not. If the back of the handset is uncomfortably hot, remove the phone from the charger, let it cool to room temperature, then check that the battery connector is fully and evenly seated before charging again.
