Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

BlackView Tab 8 — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (32100140)
This 3.7V, 6500mAh lithium-polymer battery replaces the original cell in the BlackView Tab 8 tablet. It carries OEM part number 32100140 and matches the voltage, capacity, and connector spec of the factory unit. Fits the Tab 8 only — verify your model before ordering.
- BlackView Tab 8 fitment: The Tab 8 runs a single-cell Li-Polymer pack at 3.7V nominal with a proprietary flat connector. The BMS on this tablet communicates cell state to the Android power stack — voltage and connector alignment both matter for the OS to read the pack correctly.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the Tab 8 platform. The BMS accepted the pack without fault codes, and the charge IC cycled through CC/CV stages cleanly at both standard and elevated charge rates.
- Fuel gauge recalibration after swap: After fitting this battery, run one full discharge to automatic shutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. The Tab 8's fuel gauge IC calibrates against cell impedance data from the old pack — one complete cycle resets it against the new cell and clears the inaccurate percentage readings that typically appear right after installation.
Why the BlackView Tab 8 shuts down at 15–25% remaining
Under combined display and Wi-Fi load, the Tab 8 draws enough current to drag cell voltage below the BMS cutoff threshold even when the reported percentage still looks healthy. A degraded or freshly swapped cell has higher internal resistance, which means voltage sags faster under load than at rest. The fuel gauge sees a resting voltage above cutoff but cannot predict the sag under load — so the shutdown looks sudden. After the recalibration cycle above, the gauge maps the new cell's actual discharge curve and the premature shutdowns stop.
Fast charging not available after battery replacement
The Tab 8 charge IC runs a negotiation handshake on the first accepted charge cycle before enabling higher charge rates. A brand-new cell will typically start on standard 5V charging and unlock the faster profile after one full charge to 100%. If fast charge still does not appear after that, check that the charger itself outputs the correct voltage — the Tab 8 requires a USB-PD or compatible adapter rated for 9V/2A or higher to trigger the elevated rate.

Frequently Asked Questions
My BlackView Tab 8 is showing 60% battery but just switched off — why?
This is a voltage cliff under load. The display and Wi-Fi together pull enough current to drop cell voltage below the BMS cutoff threshold even when the fuel gauge still reads mid-range. It happens most often with a degraded original cell or a freshly installed replacement that hasn't been calibrated yet. Run one full discharge to automatic shutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100% — this resets the gauge against the actual discharge curve of the new cell.
The battery percentage on my Tab 8 is jumping around after I replaced the battery — is the new cell faulty?
It's not a faulty cell — it's the fuel gauge IC still calibrated to the impedance profile of the old pack. After a battery swap, the gauge doesn't yet know the internal resistance curve of the new cell, so it reports voltage-based estimates that drift. One complete cycle fixes it: discharge the tablet to automatic shutoff, then charge without interruption straight to 100%.
The Tab 8 feels warm while charging after the battery swap — should I be concerned?
Mild warmth during the first few charge cycles on a new cell is normal. The charge IC runs a conditioning pass on an unfamiliar pack, spending longer in the constant-current phase while it measures cell response. If the tablet becomes hot to the touch or the charging stops and restarts repeatedly, check that the charger output matches the Tab 8's input spec — use a USB-PD adapter rated at 9V/2A and avoid charging on a soft surface that traps heat.
