Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Blaupunkt CC-R900H / ERC884 / F9 — 7.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery
This 7.4V 4400mAh Li-ion battery fits the Blaupunkt CC-R900H, ERC884, and F9 camcorders. It matches the original cell voltage and capacity, restoring full recording and playback function. Capacity is 4400mAh (32.56Wh) — taken from product data, not estimated.
- CC-R900H, ERC884, and F9 compatibility: These three Blaupunkt camcorder models share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and 7.4V operating rail — a single cell platform covers all three without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on a camcorder body. The BMS accepted the cell, held voltage above the low-battery cutoff through sustained recording, and flagged correctly when the cell approached depletion.
- First-install charge tip for camcorders: Charge this cell fully inside the camera body or OEM charger before your first recording session. Some Blaupunkt BMS firmware maps battery-remaining display thresholds against the first full charge cycle — skipping this step can cause the indicator to read inaccurately from the start.
Why the CC-R900H shows a dead-battery warning on a freshly installed replacement cell
Blaupunkt camcorders read the battery state by sampling cell voltage at rest before the BMS initialises a new charge cycle. A replacement cell shipped in a partial-charge state can present a resting voltage the firmware interprets as critically low — triggering a false low-battery or dead-cell alert. This is not a fault with the cell. Connect to the OEM charger or charge via the camera body until the indicator shows full, then power on. The warning clears once the BMS has mapped the cell across a complete charge cycle.
Battery percentage jumping erratically mid-recording
The CC-R900H estimates remaining capacity by comparing real-time voltage against a discharge curve stored in firmware — a curve calibrated to the original cell's chemistry profile. A replacement cell with a slightly different discharge curve can cause the percentage indicator to skip non-linearly, reading 60%, then 80%, then 40% within minutes. The cell itself is delivering stable voltage; the display logic is misreading it. Run one full discharge-to-cutoff cycle followed by a full charge inside the camera body — this allows the BMS to recalibrate its voltage-threshold mapping to 3.0V per cell at depletion.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Blaupunkt CC-R900H says "no battery" or won't power on at all with the new cell installed — what's happening?
The camera BMS performs a brief authentication check when a new cell is inserted, and if the resting voltage is outside the expected window, it rejects the cell outright rather than attempting to charge it. Remove the battery, reinsert it firmly to ensure full contact on all pins, then connect the camera directly to the OEM charger without powering on. Once the charge LED activates and the cell reaches full charge, the BMS accepts it and the body powers on normally.
The shot count on my CC-R900H is much lower than I expected from a 4400mAh cell — is the battery faulty?
Shot count is not a direct measure of cell capacity. The CC-R900H draws current from the EVF display, autofocus motor, optical image stabilisation, and video processor simultaneously during recording — combined draw is significantly higher than the single-shot spec figures suggest. Cold ambient temperatures also reduce usable capacity by compressing the lithium-ion discharge curve at the lower voltage threshold. Check the cell voltage with a multimeter after a session: if it reads above 6.8V at rest, the cell is healthy and the shot count is reflecting real-world multi-system draw, not a cell defect.
The camcorder body feels noticeably warm during long video recording sessions — is that a battery issue?
Heat during sustained video recording comes primarily from the image sensor, video encoding processor, and stabilisation system — not the battery alone. The cell does contribute some thermal output as it delivers continuous current to all three systems at once, which is a higher sustained draw than still shooting. This is normal operating behaviour for this class of camcorder. If the body shuts down mid-recording rather than just running warm, note the battery voltage immediately after shutdown — a cutoff above 7.0V under load points to a BMS protection trip, not thermal damage.
