Fits BLU Aria, Jenny II, Jenny TV 2.8, Q170T and 13 additional models using N4C600T, N4C820T, N5C600T, or N5C900T battery part numbers.
3.7V, 900mAh lithium-ion cell delivers 3.33Wh for calling, messaging, and app use on the Aria platform.
Connector slides into the internal battery slot with no locking tab; orientation marked on the cell contacts and device housing.
Bench test showed the BMS accepted charge current without fault codes; fuel gauge IC read the cell as discharged on first insertion.
After installation, run one complete discharge-charge cycle without fast charging enabled — this lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell curve before high-current fast charging resumes.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

BLU Aria / Jenny II Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (N5C900T)

This is a 3.7V, 900mAh Li-ion cell replacing the original battery in BLU Aria, Jenny II, Jenny TV 2.8, Q170T, and related models. It fits the physical footprint at 53.00 × 34.00 × 4.80mm and connects to the same internal connector used across this BLU family. Capacity matches the OEM specification — 3.33Wh.

  • Cross-model fit on the Aria / Jenny platform: These BLU models share a common board layout, connector pinout, and 3.7V nominal voltage rail. The BMS handshake protocol is consistent across Aria, Jenny II, and Jenny TV 2.8, so one cell covers the group without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on BLU hardware. The BMS accepted the cell without fault codes, charge termination triggered correctly at full voltage, and discharge cutoff engaged at the expected low-voltage threshold.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration after swap: On first use after installation, run one full discharge to automatic shutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100% before use. This gives the fuel gauge IC a clean reference curve against the new cell — skipping this step is the primary cause of erratic percentage readings in the first week.

Why the BLU Aria reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap

The Aria uses a coulomb-counting fuel gauge IC that builds its capacity model from charge and discharge history stored against the original cell. When you install a new cell, that stored model no longer matches the actual discharge curve. The gauge reads voltage and estimates percentage based on old data, so it will show numbers that don't track real charge level. One complete discharge-to-shutoff followed by an uninterrupted charge to 4.2V resets the reference and aligns the IC to the new cell's actual curve.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell

This happens when the modem or display draws a current spike the cell cannot sustain at that state of charge — voltage drops below the BMS cutoff threshold even though the gauge still reads 20–30%. It is a voltage-cliff issue, not a defective cell. It is most common in the first few cycles before the fuel gauge IC has recalibrated to the new cell's actual discharge curve. Run two full discharge-charge cycles and the reported percentage at shutoff will shift to a stable, accurate figure near 0%.

Frequently Asked Questions

The BLU Aria shows 25% battery and then shuts off without warning — is that a faulty replacement cell?

Not necessarily a defective cell. At lower states of charge, a current spike from the modem or screen can drag cell voltage below the BMS cutoff even while the fuel gauge still reads 25%. This is a voltage-cliff effect, common in the first two cycles after a cell swap before the fuel gauge IC recalibrates. Run two full discharge-to-shutoff and uninterrupted charge-to-full cycles — the shutdown point will stabilise near 0%.

The phone won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months — what's happening?

Li-ion cells self-discharge in storage, and if the cell dropped below roughly 2.5V the BMS will lock out to prevent damage — the phone will not power on and will not respond to a charger. Connect it to a wall charger (not a USB port) and leave it for 30–45 minutes without pressing anything. Most BMS circuits on this platform will accept a trickle recovery charge and unlock once the cell reaches approximately 3.0V, at which point normal charging resumes.

Fast charging stopped working after I swapped the battery on my BLU Jenny II — the phone only charges slowly now?

On the first cycle after a cell swap, the BMS on this platform often refuses fast-charge handshake negotiation and falls back to standard 5V charging as a protection measure. This is not a permanent fault. Complete one full slow charge to 100%, then discharge normally to shutoff, and reconnect — the charge IC will renegotiate the higher-current profile on the second cycle once it has confirmed the cell accepts charge within expected parameters.
