Fits BLU Energy X Plus 2, E150, E150Q smartphones; replaces OEM part BSP516485 and BP503C.
3.85V lithium-polymer cell with 5000mAh capacity delivers full-day runtime on typical mixed use without degradation.
Connector and locking tabs match OEM housing; physical dimensions 84.46 x 63.40 x 5.20mm install flush with device frame.
We bench tested the cell through five full discharge cycles; BMS accepted charge protocol on first insertion without fault codes.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle so the fuel gauge IC recalibrates to the new cell's discharge curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

BLU Energy X Plus 2 / E150 Series — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (BSP516485)

This 3.85V, 5000mAh Li-Polymer cell replaces the original battery in the BLU Energy X Plus 2, E150, and E150Q smartphones. It matches OEM part numbers BSP516485 and BP503C. Swap it in when the original cell no longer holds capacity or the phone shuts down unexpectedly under load.

  • E150 and E150Q platform fit: The E150 and E150Q share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and 3.85V charging rail as the Energy X Plus 2. One cell covers all three models without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through the BLU charging IC and confirmed the BMS handshake completes correctly — charge current ramps as expected and the protection circuit trips at the correct cutoff thresholds.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: Disable fast charging for the first full discharge-charge cycle after installation. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging begins. Skip this step and the percentage readout will drift.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the BLU Energy X Plus 2

The Energy X Plus 2 runs a large 6-inch display and a quad-core processor that pull significant current spikes under load. When the cell ages, its internal resistance climbs — voltage sags below the system cutoff threshold even though the fuel gauge still reads 20–30%. The phone sees a voltage cliff, not an empty battery, and shuts down to protect the SoC. A fresh 5000mAh cell with low internal resistance eliminates the sag and pushes that cutoff point back to near 0%.

Phone not powering on after the replacement cell sat in storage

Li-Polymer cells self-discharge in storage, and if voltage drops below roughly 2.5V per cell the BMS locks out to prevent damage. The phone will show no charging indicator and refuse to boot. Connect the USB cable and leave it on a 5W charger — not a fast charger — for 15–20 minutes to let trickle current bring the cell above the BMS re-enable threshold. Once voltage recovers above 3.0V, normal charging resumes and the phone will power on.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does my BLU Energy X Plus 2 show 25% battery and then just switch off with no warning?

This is a voltage cliff — under heavy load from the screen or modem, the aged or new-to-system cell's voltage drops sharply below the SoC cutoff point before the fuel gauge catches up. The phone shuts down to protect the processor, not because the cell is actually empty. Complete one full discharge-charge cycle with fast charging disabled so the fuel gauge IC can map the new cell's actual discharge curve. After that cycle, the reported percentage and the real cutoff point will align.

The battery percentage on my BLU Energy X Plus 2 is jumping around erratically after I swapped the cell — is the new battery faulty?

It is not faulty. The fuel gauge IC stored the discharge curve of the old cell, and it is now trying to apply that calibration data to a cell with different characteristics. The coulomb counter readings will drift and jump until the IC recalibrates. Run one complete discharge down to auto-shutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100% with fast charging off. The percentage readout stabilises after that first full cycle.

Fast charging stopped working on my BLU Energy X Plus 2 after I put in the new battery — the phone just slow-charges now.

On the first cycle after a cell swap, the charge IC may not accept the fast-charge handshake until the BMS has completed one full charge termination. Some BLU firmware also resets the fast-charge protocol when it detects a new cell with a different impedance signature. Let the phone charge fully on a standard 5W adapter once, then reconnect your fast charger. If fast charging still does not engage, check that the USB cable supports the required current — a data-only cable will cap charge current regardless of the adapter.
