Fits MeiZu V8 Pro and V8 Pro Dual SIM models; replaces OEM part BA813.
3.85V, 3000mAh Li-Polymer cell restores full charge capacity on devices reporting degraded runtime.
Connector slots vertically into the battery bay; no locking tab — slides straight seat.
We bench-cycled this cell on a V8 Pro motherboard; BMS accepted the new pack without fault codes.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle — this lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell discharge curve before high-current charging.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

MeiZu V8 Pro — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (BA813)

The BA813 is a 3.85V, 3000mAh (11.55Wh) Li-Polymer cell for the MeiZu V8 Pro, V8 Pro Dual SIM, V8 Pro Dual SIM TD-LTE, and M813Q. It fits directly behind the display assembly and connects to the charge IC and fuel gauge IC on the main board. Swap it when the original cell no longer holds voltage under screen or modem load.

  • V8 Pro and M813Q platform compatibility: All four fit models share the same 70.00 × 61.00 × 4.07mm footprint, the same BA813 connector pinout, and the same BMS handshake with the MeiZu charge IC — so the same cell works across the entire group without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled the BA813 through full charge and discharge on the V8 Pro board. The BMS held cutoff correctly at both ends, and the fuel gauge IC accepted the new cell without throwing a fault code.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-to-charge cycle at standard rate. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes current into an uncalibrated state.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell

A new Li-Polymer cell has a steeper voltage cliff than a worn one. When the modem transmits or the screen peaks in brightness, current draw spikes and cell voltage drops sharply — enough to trip the BMS undervoltage cutoff even though the gauge still shows 20–30%. The fuel gauge IC is still running the old cell's coulomb-count model, so it reports capacity that no longer matches actual voltage. One full slow discharge followed by a full charge resets the coulomb counter and moves the reported percentage back in line with real cell voltage.

USB fast charge not accepted on the first cycle after replacement

MeiZu's charge IC negotiates fast charge protocol only after it confirms the BMS is in a ready state. On a freshly installed cell, the BMS starts in a conservative mode and may not acknowledge the fast charge handshake on cycle one. If the phone charges slowly or falls back to 5W on the first plug-in, that is expected behaviour. Complete one full standard-rate charge, disconnect, and reconnect — the charge IC will re-negotiate and fast charge should resume at that point.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does my MeiZu V8 Pro still shut off at around 25% after fitting the new BA813?

The fuel gauge IC is still using the discharge curve it mapped from the old, degraded cell. The new BA813 has a steeper voltage drop under modem and screen load, so the BMS trips its undervoltage cutoff before the gauge reaches zero. Run one full discharge down to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% at standard rate — this forces the coulomb counter to remap against the new cell's curve and the early shutdowns stop.

The phone won't turn on at all after the BA813 sat in a drawer for several months — is the battery dead?

Likely not dead, but the BMS has locked out below its minimum recovery threshold of around 2.5V per cell. Plug into a wall charger — not a PC USB port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without attempting to power on. The charge IC will trickle current into the cell until voltage climbs above the BMS recovery threshold, at which point the phone should respond. If the screen stays dark past the 30-minute mark, check that the charger is delivering at least 5V 1A.

The battery percentage on my V8 Pro jumps around erratically after the swap — is the BA813 faulty?

The jumps are the fuel gauge IC recalibrating, not a cell fault. The IC's stored discharge model no longer matches the new cell, so it corrects its estimate in visible steps as it gathers real voltage data. This settles after two to three full discharge-and-charge cycles at standard rate. Do not use fast charging during those first cycles — high charge current skews the data the fuel gauge IC collects and extends the recalibration period.
