Fits BLU TouchBook 7.0 Pro tablet, model P60W; replaces OEM part 1ICP3/79/115.
3.7V, 3000mAh lithium-polymer cell delivers 11.1Wh — sufficient for full-day reading and web use.
Connector seats flat into the battery slot with no locking tabs; orientation is keyed.
We ran a full discharge and recharge cycle; the BMS accepted the new cell without fault codes.
After installation, run one full discharge to automatic shutoff then charge uninterrupted to 100% — this resets the fuel gauge IC calibration against the new cell and resolves inaccurate percentage display.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

BLU TouchBook 7.0 Pro / P60W — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (1ICP3/79/115)

This is a 3.7V, 3000mAh (11.1Wh) lithium-polymer battery for the BLU TouchBook 7.0 Pro and P60W tablets. It fits directly into both models, which share the same OEM part number 1ICP3/79/115. Replace it when the original cell degrades, holds little charge, or fails to power the tablet at all.

  • TouchBook 7.0 Pro and P60W compatibility: Both tablets use the same battery bay dimensions (114.80 × 79.33 × 3.15 mm), the same 3.7V nominal rail, and the same connector pinout. The OEM part number 1ICP3/79/115 applies to both — no adapter or modification needed.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the P60W platform. The protection circuit engaged correctly at low-voltage cutoff, and the charge IC accepted the cell without faults on the first cycle.
  • Fuel gauge reset after swap: After fitting this battery, run one full discharge to automatic shutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This forces the tablet's fuel gauge IC to recalibrate against the new cell's actual capacity curve and corrects the inaccurate percentage readings that almost always appear after a battery swap.

TouchBook 7.0 Pro shutting down at 15–25% remaining

This happens because the tablet's display and Wi-Fi radio together create a combined load spike that the voltage curve of a new (or degraded) cell doesn't match what the fuel gauge expects. The gauge reads a voltage drop and interprets it as the cell being nearly empty — triggering shutdown early. Run one complete discharge-to-zero cycle followed by a full uninterrupted charge. After that cycle, confirm the shutdown threshold moves below 10%.

Fast charging not available after battery replacement

The TouchBook 7.0 Pro's charge IC uses a handshake with the charger during the first accepted charge cycle to confirm cell parameters before enabling faster charge rates. On a fresh cell, that handshake may not complete on the very first plug-in. Use the original OEM charger or a USB charger rated at the correct output, let one full charge cycle complete without interruption, and fast charge should negotiate correctly from the second cycle onward.

Frequently Asked Questions

My BLU TouchBook 7.0 Pro is showing 60% battery right after I installed the new battery — is the gauge broken?

The fuel gauge IC in the P60W is still calibrated to the old cell's capacity curve, so the percentage it reports against a new cell is meaningless until it recalibrates. Run the tablet down to automatic shutoff, then charge it uninterrupted to 100% without unplugging early. That single full cycle resets the gauge against the new cell. After that, the percentage display should track accurately.

The tablet cuts off suddenly at around 20% after I replaced the battery — what's causing that?

The combined load from the display and Wi-Fi causes a brief voltage sag that the fuel gauge misreads as the cell hitting its cutoff floor. This is a calibration mismatch, not a faulty battery. Discharge the tablet fully to automatic shutoff and charge it straight to 100% in one session. Once the fuel gauge has a complete reference cycle, the premature shutdown threshold drops and the tablet runs through the lower charge range normally.

My BLU TouchBook 7.0 Pro feels warm while charging with the new battery — should I be worried?

Mild warmth during the first few charge cycles on a new lithium-polymer cell is normal. The charge IC is running a conditioning profile on a cell it hasn't seen before, which draws slightly more current in the constant-current phase than it will on subsequent cycles. If the tablet becomes hot to the touch or the charge stops before 100%, unplug it and check that the charger output matches the rated input on the tablet. Gentle warmth that fades after the first full cycle is not a fault.
