Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

BobSweep SW603001 — 14.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (Li-025144-BYD)
This is a 14.4V, 2600mAh lithium-ion battery for the BobSweep SW603001 robotic vacuum cleaner. It replaces OEM part Li-025144-BYD and fits directly into the SW603001 battery bay. Capacity matches the original specification at 37.44Wh.
- SW603001 fitment: The SW603001 runs a 14.4V architecture that feeds both the drive motors and the suction motor from a single cell pack. Any replacement must match voltage and BMS communication exactly — a mismatch causes the robot to shut down at the dock before a cleaning cycle starts.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this battery through charge and discharge on the SW603001 platform. The BMS handshake cleared on the first dock connection, charge acceptance was normal, and the protection circuit tripped correctly under a simulated overcurrent load.
- Dock charging discipline on the SW603001: Do not leave the SW603001 parked on the dock permanently between cleans. Continuous trickle charging through the dock degrades cell capacity faster than regular charge-and-remove cycles. Charge to full, then lift the unit off the dock until the next scheduled clean.
Suction dropping mid-clean before the battery indicator reads low
The SW603001 drives two loads from the same pack — navigation motors and the suction fan. When the filter is partially blocked, the suction motor draws above its rated current. The BMS reads this as a voltage sag event and throttles output to protect the cells, which the robot interprets as low power and reduces fan speed. The battery itself is not failing — clear the filter and check the brush roll for hair wrap, and suction will return to full strength.
Robot stops mid-run, sits for a few seconds, then resumes
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. It happens when sustained filter restriction or a jammed brush roll forces the suction motor to pull more current than the protection circuit allows. The BMS cuts output, waits for current to drop, then re-enables the pack — which is why the robot pauses and restarts. Clean the filter thoroughly, spin the brush roll by hand to confirm it moves freely, and the trips will stop.

Frequently Asked Questions
My BobSweep SW603001 won't charge after I fitted the replacement battery — the dock light just blinks and nothing happens.
A blinking dock light after a battery swap usually means the charger is not seeing the expected BMS handshake from the new cell. Confirm the battery connector is fully seated — the locking tab needs to click into place, and a partially connected pack will fail the handshake every time. If seating the connector does not resolve it, place the robot on the dock for 10 minutes with the unit powered off, which allows the BMS to initialise from a full rest state. The dock light should switch to a solid charge indication once the handshake completes.
The SW603001 cleans for what feels like a short time then docks itself — but the battery shows as fully charged when I check it.
A partially blocked filter is the most common cause. When airflow is restricted, the suction motor runs harder than its rated draw, pulling more current from the pack and draining it faster than the battery indicator can track accurately. Remove and tap out the filter, check the dust bin is empty, and clear any hair from the brush roll. After cleaning all three, run a full cycle — if charge duration improves, the battery is fine and the issue was mechanical load, not cell capacity.
The new battery faded noticeably after only a few weeks — capacity seems much lower than when it arrived.
Leaving the SW603001 docked permanently between cleans is the most common cause of early capacity fade on this platform. The dock delivers a continuous trickle charge once the battery is full, and sustained trickle charging degrades lithium-ion cells faster than normal cycling. Remove the robot from the dock once the charge indicator shows full, and only return it when the battery is depleted or close to it. After five to ten proper charge cycles following this routine, cell performance should stabilise near the rated 2600mAh.
