Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Bosch BBHMOVE1/01 Series — 14.4V Ni-MH Replacement Battery (00751992)
This is a 14.4V 2000mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for the Bosch BBHMOVE cordless handheld vacuum cleaner. It fits the BBHMOVE1/01, BBHMOVE1/03, BBHMOVE101, BBHMOVE103, and over 17 additional BBHMOVE variants that share the same OEM part number 00751992. When the original cell loses the ability to hold charge, this replacement restores the vacuum to full operating voltage without replacing the entire unit.
- BBHMOVE series compatibility: These models share a common battery bay, connector pinout, and BMS handshake across the BBHMOVE range. Bosch standardised the 14.4V cell platform across this vacuum line, so one replacement cell covers the full series without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on BBHMOVE hardware. The BMS accepted the cell without fault codes, held a stable voltage under motor load, and cut off correctly at the low-voltage threshold rather than tripping prematurely.
- Dock charging behaviour on Ni-MH cells: Do not leave the vacuum on the charging dock permanently. Ni-MH cells develop capacity fade significantly faster under continuous trickle charge than under charge-when-depleted cycles. Charge to full, then remove from the dock.
Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low
This happens when the motor draws more current than the cell can deliver cleanly at mid-charge. A partially blocked filter forces the motor to work harder, pulling current that causes voltage to sag earlier in the discharge curve. The vacuum loses suction noticeably while the indicator still shows charge remaining. Clean or replace the filter first — if suction recovers, the battery is fine. If voltage still sags on a clean filter, the cell has degraded and needs replacement.
Motor cuts out mid-use then recovers after a short pause
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. When suction is restricted — blocked nozzle, clogged filter, or hair wrapped at the intake — the motor draws a sustained current spike. The BMS reads this as an overcurrent condition and cuts power to protect the cell. After a short rest, the BMS resets and the vacuum runs again. Clear the restriction at the nozzle or filter, then restart. If the fault recurs on a clear airway, check that terminal voltage under load stays above 11V.

Frequently Asked Questions
My BBHMOVE battery drains much faster than it used to even after a full charge — what causes that?
Shallow-cycle degradation is the most common cause in Ni-MH vacuums. If the vacuum was routinely placed back on the dock before the cell was close to depleted, the cell develops a reduced effective capacity over time — it accepts a full charge but discharges from a lower starting point. A replacement cell resolves this, but change the charging habit: run the vacuum until suction noticeably weakens, then charge fully and remove from the dock.
The replacement battery isn't being recognised by the charger — the charge light doesn't come on at all.
Some Bosch BBHMOVE chargers expect a specific voltage response from the cell during the initial handshake before committing to a charge cycle. If the replacement cell arrived deeply discharged, its resting voltage may fall below the charger's detection threshold. Connect the battery and leave it on the charger for 30 minutes without interruption — many chargers will detect a deeply discharged Ni-MH cell and trickle-charge it up to a level where the full charge cycle triggers. If the light still does not activate, measure terminal voltage across the battery contacts; it should read at least 10V for the charger to respond.
Why does the vacuum have noticeably weaker suction on carpet compared to hard floors, even with a new battery?
Carpet increases airflow resistance at the nozzle, which forces the motor to draw higher sustained current. On a new or fully charged cell this is manageable, but if the filter is even partially clogged, the combined restriction causes a motor voltage sag that reduces suction specifically under carpet load. Hard floors present less resistance, so the same battery appears fine on them. Remove and tap out the filter, check the nozzle for blockage, then retest on carpet — suction should equalise across surfaces.
