Fits Siemens VBH14400/01 and VBH14401 cordless vacuum models; replaces OEM battery 00751992.
14.4V Ni-MH pack at 2000mAh delivers 28.8Wh to sustain motor torque on carpet and hard floors without voltage sag during heavy load cycles.
Connector seats vertically into the handle dock with a single locking tab; orientation is fixed by keyed housing — no cross-fit possible.
We bench-tested the BMS under sustained 10A discharge; the pack held steady voltage through a full motor cycle without early cutoff or thermal trip.
Do not leave this vacuum on the charging dock after the battery reaches full charge — continuous trickle charging degrades Ni-MH capacity faster than scheduled removal.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Siemens VBH14400/01 — 14.4V Ni-MH Replacement Battery (00751992)

This is a 14.4V, 2000mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for the Siemens VBH14400/01 cordless handheld vacuum and related models. It replaces OEM part number 00751992 and restores power to the vacuum motor for floor and surface cleaning. Capacity is 2000mAh (28.8Wh), matching the original specification.

  • VBH14400/01, VBH1440001, VBH14401/03, VBH14401/04 compatibility: These models share the same 14.4V motor rail, connector housing, and BMS handshake profile. Swapping cells between variants works because the charge circuit expects identical voltage thresholds and cell count across the range.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this battery through charge and discharge cycles on the VBH14400/01 platform. The BMS accepted the charge curve without faulting, and the motor controller did not flag a voltage mismatch at startup.
  • Dock charging habit for this vacuum: Do not leave the vacuum sitting on the charging dock permanently. Ni-MH cells in cordless vacuums develop capacity fade significantly faster under continuous trickle charge. Charge to full, then remove from the dock.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low

On Ni-MH cells, voltage sag under motor load happens well before the cell is fully depleted. When the filter is partially blocked, the motor draws above its rated current, which amplifies the voltage sag further. The vacuum's electronics read that sag as low battery and reduce power to the motor. Clean the filter first — if suction recovers after that, the battery is not the cause.

Motor cutting out mid-use and recovering after a pause

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. When sustained suction restriction — a blocked nozzle or clogged filter — forces the motor to pull more current than the BMS allows, it cuts the circuit to protect the cells. After a short pause the BMS resets and power returns. Clear the blockage, check the filter is fully seated, then resume use. If trips continue with a clean filter, measure resting cell voltage — it should read at least 14.4V after a full charge.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Siemens VBH14400/01 runs for noticeably less time than it used to even with a new battery — what causes that?

A partially blocked filter forces the motor to draw more current than rated, burning through charge faster than normal. The battery itself is not at fault — the extra load drains it quicker. Remove and clean the filter thoroughly, then run a full charge cycle. If runtime improves after that, the filter restriction was the cause, not cell capacity.

I charged the replacement battery overnight and left it on the dock, but now the vacuum cuts out quickly — did I damage it?

Continuous dock charging on Ni-MH cells causes trickle charge damage — the cells never fully rest and capacity drops faster than from normal use. Leaving the vacuum docked overnight is enough to start this process with repeated cycles. Discharge the battery fully once through normal vacuuming use, then charge to full and remove it from the dock. Going forward, only return it to the dock when the battery is depleted.

The replacement battery is fully charged but the vacuum loses suction suddenly on carpet and then recovers — is this a battery fault?

That pattern is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a weak battery. Dense carpet fibres increase motor resistance, spiking current draw above the BMS threshold, which cuts the circuit briefly to protect the cells. It resets after a few seconds once current drops. Check that the nozzle is clear and the filter is clean — restricted airflow compounds the current spike. If the problem only appears on carpet with a clear filter, reduce the suction pass speed to let the motor draw a steadier current.
