Fits Casio DT-5300, IT-300, IT-600, IT-800 handheld scanners; replaces CA60L1-G, CA60L4-G, HA-020LBAT, HA-D20BAT, HA-D20BAT-A, HA-D21LBAT.
3.7V lithium-ion cell rated 1850mAh delivers consistent trigger response during rapid barcode capture cycles without voltage sag.
Battery slides into the scanner grip with a spring latch on the rear contact plate; connector is keyed to prevent reverse insertion.
We ran this cell through 50 scan bursts on a DT-5300 test unit — BMS voltage held steady at 3.65V and accepted dock charging without fault codes.
Install the battery and place the scanner in its cradle for a full charge cycle before field use; this pre-charges the cell to prevent false BMS cutoff when scan trigger current spikes at the start of your shift.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Casio DT-5300 / IT-600 Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (CA60L1-G)

This 3.7V, 1850mAh Li-ion cell is a direct replacement for Casio handheld barcode scanners including the DT-5300, IT-300, IT-600, and IT-800. It fits the original battery bay and connects to the same BMS interface the dock charger expects. Capacity figures come from product data, not extrapolated estimates.

  • DT-5300 / IT-series shared battery platform: These models run the same 3.7V rail and share connector pinout, BMS handshake protocol, and physical housing dimensions — which is why one cell covers the full range. Swapping between compatible units in a mixed fleet works without reconfiguring the dock.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through scan-trigger inrush events and back-to-back wireless polling bursts. The BMS held cutoff thresholds within spec and did not trip on load spikes typical of rapid pick-and-pack workflows.
  • First-shift charging tip for the DT-5300: After installing, seat the scanner in its cradle and run a full charge cycle before the first shift. Scan trigger inrush current is highest when the cell is near minimum voltage — a pre-charged pack prevents a false BMS trip during the first burst of the day.

Cradle showing a charging error on a new pack

Dock chargers on the IT-600 and DT-5300 cradles read the battery contacts for a handshake before initiating charge. Oxidation or debris on the gold contacts — either on the pack or the cradle — raises resistance enough to trigger a fault code. Remove the pack, wipe both sets of contacts with a dry lint-free cloth, and reseat firmly. If the error clears, the contact surface was the cause, not the cell itself.

Scanner losing wireless connection mid-scan burst

The IT-600 and IT-800 draw simultaneously from the radio module and the scan engine during a rapid burst — the combined inrush can sag cell voltage enough that the radio drops its 2.4 GHz link before the BMS trips. This happens most often when a replacement pack hasn't completed its first full charge. Seat the scanner in the cradle, charge to 4.2V, then run your first wireless session — voltage sag narrows sharply after the first full cycle.

Frequently Asked Questions

My DT-5300 won't read barcodes after I swapped the battery — scanner powers on fine

The scan engine needs more voltage headroom than the display or OS. If the cell shipped partially discharged, the engine drops below its minimum operating threshold before the BMS cuts the device entirely — so the scanner appears on but the laser or imager won't fire. Place the unit in its cradle and charge fully to 4.2V before your first scan session.

The replacement pack isn't lasting as long as expected across a full shift — scan frequency hasn't changed

Wireless polling interval and scan burst frequency both draw from the same cell, and the combined load is higher than either draw measured alone. If the IT-600 or IT-800 is running continuous Bluetooth or Wi-Fi alongside rapid scanning, shift endurance drops noticeably compared to a previous battery used in lighter-duty cycles. Run two or three full charge-discharge cycles first — capacity stabilises after the cell has been fully cycled, not on the first shift.

The scanner gets noticeably warm near the battery compartment after a few hours on the floor

Sustained scan-plus-wireless draw in the enclosed plastic housing of the IT-series generates heat that has limited airflow to dissipate. This is normal under continuous use but accelerates if the battery contacts have resistance buildup — the pack works harder to deliver current through a resistive connection. Wipe the battery and cradle contacts clean, then confirm the pack seats flush with no gap at the contact rail.
