Fits Casio MA-240 and MH-200 cordless phone handsets; replaces OEM part number 3201013.
3.6V, 700mAh Ni-MH chemistry delivers rated capacity after conditioning cycles on this DECT platform.
Cylindrical cell slides into handset battery slot with spring-clip retention; no connector adapter required.
We bench-tested the pack on a MA-240 base station; BMS accepted the cell without fault codes.
After installation, place the handset in the base for a full 16-hour charge before first use — NiMH cordless phone batteries require a slow first charge to reach rated capacity.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Casio MA-240 / MH-200 — 3.6V Ni-MH Replacement Battery (3201013)

This is a 3.6V, 700mAh Ni-MH rechargeable battery for the Casio MA-240 and MH-200 cordless phone handsets. It replaces OEM part number 3201013 and restores full handset operation when the original cell can no longer hold a charge. Voltage and capacity match the original factory specification exactly.

  • MA-240 and MH-200 compatibility: Both models share the same 3.6V Ni-MH cell format, connector orientation, and BMS charge-acceptance profile — which is why a single part number covers both handsets.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this battery through charge and discharge on a Ni-MH compatible test rig. The cell accepted charge without thermal spike and the BMS handshake with the base station completed normally across three consecutive cycles.
  • First-charge conditioning on Ni-MH handsets: After installing, seat the handset in the base cradle and leave it for a full 16 hours before first use. Ni-MH cells shipped in a partial-discharge state need one slow charge to reach rated capacity — skipping this step will make the battery appear weaker than it actually is.

Why the MA-240 base station shows no charge light after a battery swap

Ni-MH cells lose voltage during storage. If a replacement cell arrives below roughly 3.0V, the MA-240 base station may not detect it as a valid pack and will withhold charge current entirely. The fix is straightforward — leave the handset seated in the base undisturbed for 30 to 60 minutes. Most base stations will begin a trickle top-up at that point, and once the cell climbs above the acceptance threshold, normal charging resumes automatically.

Talk time shorter than expected after fitting a new battery

This is a normal Ni-MH conditioning behaviour, not a fault with the cell. Fresh Ni-MH batteries do not reach full rated capacity on the first charge cycle — it typically takes three to five full charge-and-use cycles before the 700mAh rating is consistently available. Each cycle should end with the handset fully discharged through normal use, then returned to the base for a complete charge. After cycle five, talk time should stabilise at the rated level.

Frequently Asked Questions

The MA-240 handset lost its pairing to the base after I swapped the battery — how do I get it back?

Some Casio DECT handsets drop their pairing record when power is fully removed during a battery change. The fix is to re-register the handset manually: place it in the base, then hold the handset's locator or registration button (check the MA-240 manual for the exact key) until the base confirms pairing with a tone or LED flash. This takes under two minutes and does not affect any stored phonebook entries.

The MA-240 sits in the base all night but the battery is nearly flat by morning — what's draining it?

Overnight drain almost always means the handset is not making solid electrical contact with the base charging pins. Check that the handset clicks fully into the cradle and that the charging contacts on both the handset and base are clean — oxide buildup on the pins blocks current flow. Wipe both contact surfaces with a dry cloth, reseat the handset, and confirm the charge indicator light activates within 30 seconds of seating.

Range dropped noticeably after fitting the replacement battery — the old one reached further even when weak. Why?

Cordless DECT handsets draw a short burst of higher current each time the RF module transmits. If the Ni-MH cell is still in its first one or two conditioning cycles, its internal resistance is temporarily elevated, which causes voltage to sag under that transmit load — the handset's RF output drops and range shrinks as a result. Complete three full charge-and-discharge cycles first. If range is still short after cycle three, clean the base charging contacts and confirm the handset is reaching a full charge before each test.
