Fits CAT B15 and B15Q smartphones using OEM part number B10-2 replacement battery.
3.7V lithium-ion cell rated 2000mAh delivers stable voltage across typical phone loads.
Connector slides straight into the B15 battery slot with minimal play and locks flush.
We bench-tested this cell through five charge cycles on CAT's stock charger; BMS accepted input without fault codes and held voltage curve through discharge.
On first use after installation, run one full discharge-charge cycle with fast charging disabled to let the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against this cell's discharge curve before high-current charging resumes.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

CAT B15 / B15Q Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (B10-2)

This is a 3.7V, 2000mAh Li-ion cell for the CAT B15 and B15Q rugged smartphones. It replaces OEM part number B10-2 directly. Fit models covered: B15, B15Q, and B15Q AM.

  • B15 and B15Q share the same cell format: Both models run the same 3.7V battery rail with identical connector pinout and BMS handshake. The B15Q AM variant uses the same physical cell — no adapter or wiring change needed when swapping between these models.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through full charge and discharge cycles on a B15 unit. The BMS accepted charge from the native charge IC without fault codes, and the fuel gauge IC tracked cell voltage correctly through both draw phases.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first install: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and complete one full discharge-charge cycle. This gives the fuel gauge IC a clean reference against the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging is applied to an uncalibrated cell.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the CAT B15 after a cell swap

The B15's fuel gauge IC holds a discharge curve calibrated to the original cell. A new cell with a different internal resistance profile hits a voltage threshold the gauge wasn't expecting — the phone cuts power to protect the modem and display stack even though charge remains. This is not a fault in the replacement cell. One complete discharge down to automatic shutdown, followed by a full uninterrupted charge, resets the coulomb counter to the new cell's actual curve. After that cycle, the reported percentage tracks real capacity correctly.

Phone warm near the battery during the first charge after replacement

A new high-impedance cell generates more heat during initial charging than a broken-in cell does. The charge IC on the B15 pushes a fixed current profile — on a fresh cell, that current meets higher resistance and converts more energy to heat before the cell's internal structure stabilises. This is normal for the first one to three charge cycles and should reduce noticeably after that. If the case stays hot beyond the third full charge, check that the rear cover is seated correctly — a poorly seated cover traps heat against the cell.

Frequently Asked Questions

My CAT B15 shuts off at around 25% after fitting the new battery — is the cell faulty?

The cell is almost certainly fine. The fuel gauge IC on the B15 is calibrated to the original cell's discharge curve, and the new cell's voltage drops at a slightly different rate under modem and screen load — the phone hits its low-voltage cutoff before the gauge reaches 0%. Run one complete cycle: let the phone discharge to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. That resets the coulomb counter reference to the new cell, and the percentage should track accurately from there.

Fast charging stopped working after I replaced the battery on my B15Q — the phone only trickle charges now.

On the first cycle after a cell swap, the charge IC defaults to a low-current trickle until the BMS on the new cell confirms it is safe to accept higher current. This is a protective handshake, not a permanent fault. Charge the phone fully on the slow rate, then disconnect and reconnect the charger — the protocol negotiation runs again and fast charge should resume. If it doesn't resume after two full cycles, check the charge port contacts for debris before assuming a BMS issue.

The replacement battery won't power the B15 on at all after it sat unused in a drawer for a few months — what happened?

Lithium-ion cells self-discharge in storage, and if this cell dropped below approximately 2.5V, the BMS entered a lockout state to prevent damage to the cell chemistry. Connect the phone to a wall charger — not a USB hub — and leave it for at least 30 minutes without attempting to power it on. The charge IC will push a trickle recovery current to bring the cell above the BMS re-enable threshold, after which normal charging resumes. If the phone shows no charge indicator after 45 minutes on the wall charger, the cell may have dropped below the recovery floor.
