Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Cattron Theimeg Easy u. Mini / TH-EC Series — 12V Ni-MH Replacement Battery (BT923-00075)
This is a 12V 2000mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for Cattron Theimeg crane and hoist remote controls. It fits the Easy u. Mini, TH-EC 30 u. 40, TH-EC/LO, and Easy series handsets. Sourced to match the original BT923-00075 specification, including physical dimensions of 112.75 x 59.50 x 36.30mm.
- Cross-compatible across TH-EC and Easy platform remotes: The Easy u. Mini, TH-EC 30 u. 40, and TH-EC/LO all run the same 12V battery rail and share the same connector and bay dimensions. One cell covers all of them without adapters or modifications.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this battery through full charge and load discharge on TH-EC platform hardware. The BMS held stable through repeated solenoid-activation spikes, and cell balance remained within spec across five full cycles.
- Monthly charge during idle storage: Crane remotes often sit unused for weeks between jobs. Ni-MH cells self-discharge at roughly 20–30% per month. Top up the charge every four weeks during idle periods or the cells will drop into a deep-discharge state that a standard charger may not recover.
Solenoid activation causing power dropout on a freshly installed battery
When the remote triggers a crane solenoid or relay, the inrush current spikes sharply for 20–50 milliseconds. A battery at low state of charge cannot sustain the voltage through that spike, and the remote's processor resets mid-command. This looks like a lockout or freeze but it is a voltage-sag event. Always charge the battery fully before returning a remote to service after any swap or storage period. A fully charged 12V Ni-MH pack should read 13.2–14.4V immediately off the charger.
Remote showing low battery warning immediately after a new cell is installed
Ni-MH cells ship and store at approximately 50–60% state of charge, not full. The remote's voltage threshold reads this as a low-battery condition because it is one. This is not a faulty cell. Connect the battery to the original Cattron Theimeg charger and run a full charge cycle before powering the remote. A complete charge on a 2000mAh Ni-MH pack at standard 200mA charge rate takes roughly 12–15 hours — use the manufacturer charger, not a generic one, to avoid overcharge on Ni-MH chemistry.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Cattron Theimeg crane remote won't power on after sitting unused for two months — is the battery dead?
Ni-MH cells self-discharge during storage, and two months of no use can drop the pack below the remote's minimum operating voltage. Connect the battery to the Cattron Theimeg charger for at least 30–60 minutes before attempting to power the remote — a deeply discharged Ni-MH pack needs a trickle input before it will respond to a normal charge cycle. If the charger light stays red or the remote still won't power on after a full charge attempt, the cells have likely dropped below recovery threshold and the battery needs replacing. A healthy pack off the charger should read at least 13.0V under no load.
The crane remote cuts out the moment I activate a hoist command, then comes back on — what's happening?
This is a voltage-sag dropout. Solenoid and relay activation draws a sharp inrush current that lasts milliseconds but dips the battery voltage enough to reset the remote's processor. It happens most often when the battery is below 80% charge, even if the indicator shows "good." Fully charge the battery before any shift where load commands will be used. If dropouts continue on a fully charged cell, the battery's internal resistance has increased with age and the pack should be replaced.
Why does the low-battery indicator come on within a few minutes of a full charge cycle on my TH-EC remote?
This points to capacity fade — the cells are no longer holding the full 2000mAh they were rated for. Ni-MH cells degrade faster when stored uncharged or when repeatedly shallow-cycled without full discharge. The remote's low-battery threshold is voltage-based, so a pack with reduced capacity hits that voltage floor much sooner under load. Run the pack through two or three full charge-and-discharge cycles; if the warning returns within the same short window, replace the battery rather than continuing to rely on it for safety-critical crane operations.
