Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

JAY Cattron Theimeg Crane Remote — 12V Ni-MH Replacement Battery (BT 923-00075)
This is a 12V, 2500mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for the Cattron Theimeg wireless crane remote control system. It fits the handheld transmitter operators use to command crane movements on job sites. Voltage and chemistry match the OEM spec exactly.
- Cattron Theimeg transmitter fit: The Theimeg platform runs a 12V Ni-MH pack with a specific cell count and connector arrangement. This battery matches that layout, including the BMS handshake the transmitter checks at power-on before enabling output.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through repeated solenoid-activation sequences and monitored voltage under inrush loads. The BMS held stable and did not trip during relay engagement spikes.
- Monthly charge cycle during idle periods: Ni-MH cells in crane remotes stored without use for weeks will self-discharge to a point where the transmitter shows low battery on first power-on. Charge the battery once a month during any idle period to prevent this.
Solenoid activation causing power dropout on a freshly installed battery
When a solenoid or relay fires inside the crane circuit, it draws a sharp inrush current that lasts milliseconds but spikes hard. A Ni-MH cell at partial charge has higher internal resistance, and that spike can pull the terminal voltage below the BMS cutoff threshold momentarily. The transmitter interprets this as a low-battery fault and cuts output. Fully charging the battery before first use drops internal resistance and keeps terminal voltage above the dropout point during activation events.
Remote showing low battery immediately after putting in a new cell
A new Ni-MH battery ships at storage voltage — typically around 10.8–11V for a 12V pack — not at full charge. The Theimeg transmitter reads this as a depleted cell because it is below the operating threshold. This is not a faulty battery. Connect the battery to the charger for a full cycle first. Once it reaches 13.8–14.4V, the low-battery indicator clears and the remote operates normally.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Cattron Theimeg remote won't power on after sitting unused for a few months — is the new battery dead?
Ni-MH cells self-discharge at roughly 1–2% per day, so a battery stored for months can drop to a voltage where the transmitter's BMS refuses to initialise. Connect the battery to the charger and leave it for at least 30 minutes before attempting power-on. If voltage has dropped below 9V, the charger may need a short trickle phase before switching to full charge. Once the pack reaches 13.8V, attempt power-on again.
The crane remote cuts out every time I activate a function — why does a new battery cause dropouts?
Solenoid and relay activation creates a brief inrush current spike that momentarily drags terminal voltage down. If the battery is not at full charge, internal resistance is higher and that voltage sag crosses the BMS cutoff threshold, causing the transmitter to cut out mid-command. Charge the battery fully before putting it into service — a full cell sits at lower internal resistance and handles the inrush without tripping. Confirm the pack reads at least 13.5V before crane operations begin.
E-stop response feels slower than it should — could that be a battery issue?
E-stop response in the Theimeg system is voltage-dependent; the transmitter's output circuitry needs sufficient voltage to trigger the stop signal fast enough to meet the relay's activation timing. A partially discharged Ni-MH pack at 11V or below can add latency to that signal path. Before any safety-critical lift, verify the battery is fully charged and reading above 13.5V on a multimeter. Never run the remote at partial charge when the E-stop response window is tight.
