Fits Ceyear 4992A handheld radio test instrument; replaces OEM battery CS-HVA710MD.
11.1V 7800mAh lithium-ion cell delivers 86.58Wh for continuous RF signal measurement and analysis during field diagnostics.
Connector type XT60 with keyed orientation; slides into device battery bay with spring-loaded locking tab.
We bench-tested the cell under 4992A load profile; BMS accepted charge without fault codes and held voltage steady across full discharge cycle.
After installation, let the device complete its power-on self-test cycle without interruption — medical instruments run BMS verification at startup, and stopping this sequence causes a false low-battery alarm that persists until full reboot.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Ceyear 4992A Handheld Radio Test — 11.1V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This 11.1V 7800mAh Li-ion battery fits the Ceyear 4992A Handheld Radio Test instrument. The 4992A is a portable RF signal analyser used in telecommunications and medical device manufacturing environments. It runs from battery power during field measurements and quality control procedures where wall power is unavailable.

  • 4992A platform fit: The 4992A draws sustained current during active RF signal analysis. This battery matches the voltage rail and connector configuration the instrument expects. The BMS communicates state-of-charge data back to the device's power management circuit, so the charge indicator and low-battery thresholds function correctly after installation.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the bench. The BMS handled charge termination cleanly and passed state-of-charge reporting to the host device without fault flags. Capacity measured within specification across all test cycles.
  • Post-installation self-test cycle: After fitting this battery, allow the 4992A to complete its full power-on self-test without interruption. The instrument runs a BMS verification routine at startup. Cutting power during this sequence triggers a false battery fault that persists until the next full reboot.

Why the 4992A alarms low battery with a fully charged replacement installed

The 4992A's battery management circuit compares cell voltage and capacity data against a calibration baseline set for the original OEM cell. A new replacement cell has not yet completed a full charge-discharge learn cycle, so the reported state-of-charge can read lower than actual. This causes the instrument to trigger a low-battery alarm even when the pack is fully charged. Running one complete charge-discharge cycle allows the BMS to recalibrate its capacity estimate and clears the erroneous alarm.

4992A will not power on after the battery has been in storage

Li-ion cells self-discharge during storage. If the cell voltage drops below approximately 2.5V per cell — around 7.5V at pack level — the BMS enters a protection lockout and blocks output to prevent damage to deeply discharged cells. The instrument sees no voltage on the power rail and will not boot. Connect the battery to a compatible charger for at least 30 minutes before attempting to power on the 4992A; the charger's pre-charge stage recovers the cell voltage above the BMS re-enable threshold before full charge current begins.

Frequently Asked Questions

The 4992A keeps shutting off mid-measurement after I installed the new battery — what's causing it?

New Li-ion cells perform differently in the first 10 cycles because the electrolyte has not fully conditioned across all electrode surfaces. Under the sustained load of active RF analysis, voltage sag on an unconditioned cell can briefly dip below the BMS undervoltage cutoff, triggering a protective shutdown. This is not a faulty battery — it resolves as the cell cycles. Run three to five full charge-discharge cycles and the cutoff behaviour will stabilise as internal resistance drops.

The charge indicator on my 4992A never reaches 100% on the first charge with the new battery — is the cell defective?

It is not defective. The charge IC in the 4992A applies a conservative current limit on a new or unrecognised cell during the first charge cycle. This causes the charge cycle to terminate at a slightly lower state-of-charge than the indicator's 100% threshold. Complete a full discharge followed by a second uninterrupted charge cycle — on the second cycle the charge IC adjusts its termination threshold and the indicator will reach 100%.

The 4992A failed its power-on self-test after I swapped the battery — how do I clear the fault?

The self-test checks BMS communication and state-of-charge data. If the battery has not completed at least one full charge-discharge cycle, the BMS learn cycle is incomplete and the self-test reads the capacity data as out-of-range, flagging a fault. Charge the battery to full, run the instrument until the low-battery warning appears, then recharge fully without interruption. Reboot the 4992A after this cycle and rerun the self-test — the BMS will report valid data and the fault will clear.
