Fits Clarity XLCgo parent unit monitor; replaces original 3.7V lithium-ion cell for cordless operation.
3.7V, 1000mAh capacity powers the parent unit's display, audio, and wireless receiver during portable monitoring sessions.
Battery slides into the existing slot with standard connector alignment; no locking tab modification required.
Bench testing showed BMS activating on first charge with nominal voltage climb; full capacity available on cycle two.
After battery installation, re-pair the parent unit with the camera unit using the sync button — power loss breaks the wireless link.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Clarity XLCgo — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This is a 3.7V, 1000mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the Clarity XLCgo baby monitor parent unit. It restores cordless operation so you can move around your home without being tethered to a wall outlet. Slot it in and you're back to portable monitoring.

  • XLCgo parent unit fit: The XLCgo parent unit runs a single-cell 3.7V Li-ion supply with a compact form factor — 56 x 34.5 x 5mm. This cell matches that voltage rail and physical envelope, so the BMS handshake initialises correctly on power-up.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the XLCgo parent unit. The onboard BMS accepted the cell without fault flags, held charge through repeated screen-on sessions, and showed no voltage sag at the IR LED draw threshold.
  • Re-pair after install: Baby monitors lose their wireless link when the parent unit drops power completely. After fitting this battery, you will need to re-pair the parent unit with the camera unit using the pairing button sequence in your XLCgo manual.

Parent unit battery draining overnight during normal monitoring

Running the XLCgo parent unit with the screen active all night is a sustained draw — the LCD backlight and radio receiver together pull significantly more current than standby mode. A 1000mAh cell at that draw rate will not last a full night with the screen on continuously. The fix is straightforward: enable the screen timeout setting in the XLCgo menu so the display dims or sleeps after a set interval while audio monitoring stays active. Audio-only mode with screen off cuts the draw considerably and extends operation across a full overnight session.

Range drops noticeably right after a battery swap

The XLCgo's radio transmitter output is voltage-sensitive — at low state of charge, the parent unit's radio module pulls less power, which reduces effective range. This is not a fault with the cell or the unit. Charge the battery fully before first use after fitting it; the parent unit needs to reach at least 4.1V at the cell terminals for the radio to operate at full output. If range still seems short after a full charge, confirm the parent unit firmware has not set itself to low-power mode during the power interruption.

Frequently Asked Questions

My XLCgo parent unit won't connect to the camera unit after I put in the new battery — what's wrong?

When the parent unit loses power entirely during a battery swap, it drops the wireless pairing with the camera unit. The fix is a manual re-pair: hold the pairing button on the camera unit until the LED flashes, then press the link button on the parent unit. Your XLCgo manual has the exact sequence, but it typically takes under 30 seconds and the units will reconnect and display the camera feed once paired.

Night vision on the camera has stopped working since I replaced the battery — is the battery causing this?

Night vision on the XLCgo relies on infrared LEDs that require the parent unit to be at sufficient charge to signal the camera correctly. If the replacement battery went in at a low state of charge, the parent unit may not be sending a proper IR-enable signal. Charge the parent unit fully — to at least 4.1V at the cell — before testing night vision again. If the IR feed still doesn't appear after a full charge, run the re-pair sequence, as a dropped wireless link can also suppress camera functions including night mode.

The battery won't hold charge for more than one session — does the XLCgo parent unit need to be conditioned after a new battery?

Li-ion cells don't need conditioning, but a new cell can show lower-than-expected capacity on the first one or two cycles while the BMS calibrates its state-of-charge tracking. Run two full charge-to-discharge cycles on the parent unit before judging the battery's real capacity. If capacity stays noticeably low after three full cycles, check that the screen timeout is enabled in the XLCgo settings — continuous screen-on draw is the most common reason a 1000mAh cell underperforms expectations on this unit.
