Fits COMEN C30 and C90 patient monitors; replaces OEM part numbers CMLB-1525, HYLB-1525, 022-000033-00, and 022-000134-00.
12V 2600mAh lithium-ion cell delivers 31.2Wh to sustain continuous vital sign monitoring through extended patient assessments and transport runs.
Connector seats vertically into the battery bay with a positive locking tab; orientation is fixed by the slot geometry on the device housing.
We bench-tested this cell on a C30 simulator load profile; the BMS accepted the new pack after one full charge cycle and held regulation steady under sustained draw.
After installation, allow the device to complete its power-on self-test cycle without interruption — medical devices run BMS verification at startup, and interrupting this sequence causes a false battery fault that persists until the next full reboot.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

COMEN C30 / C90 Patient Monitor — 12V Li-ion Replacement Battery (CMLB-1525)

This 12V 2600mAh (31.2Wh) lithium-ion battery replaces the COMEN CMLB-1525 and fits the C30 and C90 portable patient monitors. Both monitors share the same battery bay, connector, and BMS communication protocol. Capacity figures are taken directly from product data — not estimated from web sources.

  • C30 and C90 compatibility: COMEN built both monitors on the same hardware platform — same 12V power rail, same physical battery footprint, and the same BMS handshake sequence. A battery that clears the BMS on the C30 will clear it on the C90 without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through the C30 power-on self-test and charge cycle. The BMS accepted the cell on first insertion, completed the self-test without throwing a battery fault, and the charge IC brought the pack to full charge in a single uninterrupted session.
  • Post-swap startup protocol: After installing this battery, let the monitor complete its full power-on self-test without interrupting it. The C30 and C90 run a BMS verification step at startup — cutting power mid-sequence registers a false battery fault that stays latched until the next clean reboot.

Why the C30 flags a battery fault after a confirmed full charge

The C30 BMS stores an internal state table calibrated to the original OEM cell's charge curve. A new replacement cell presents a slightly different impedance profile on the first few cycles, which can push a reading outside the BMS acceptance window. This triggers a battery fault flag even though the cell is fully charged and healthy. Running one complete charge-discharge cycle allows the BMS to update its reference table and clear the flag on subsequent startups.

C30 will not power on after battery sat in storage

Li-ion cells self-discharge during storage — if a pack drops below roughly 2.5V per cell, the C30 BMS enters a lockout state and refuses to boot. The fix is to connect the monitor to mains power and leave it charging for at least 15 minutes before attempting to power on. This gives the charge IC enough headroom to pre-charge the cell past the BMS recovery threshold, typically around 3.0V per cell, before the full charge sequence begins.

Frequently Asked Questions

The C30 is showing a low battery alarm straight after a fresh charge — is the new battery faulty?

It is almost certainly not faulty. The C30 BMS compares incoming cell data against a reference profile built on the original OEM chemistry, and a new cell's impedance sits outside that window until the BMS recalibrates. Run one full charge-discharge cycle — charge the monitor to 100%, use it through a normal session until the low battery warning appears naturally, then recharge fully. After that cycle the alarm should not reappear at a full charge.

The C30 shuts off without warning during patient monitoring even though the battery indicator showed adequate charge.

This happens in the first 10 cycles on a new cell. The C30's load profile during active monitoring — backlight, SpO2 emitter, NIBP pump — draws harder than the cell's internal resistance expects before it has settled. The BMS interprets the resulting voltage sag as a critically low state and cuts output to protect the cell. Each full cycle reduces internal resistance; by cycle 10 the sag under load drops below the BMS cutoff threshold and unexpected shutoffs stop.

The charge indicator on the C30 is stuck below 100% and won't move past roughly 80% on the first charge.

The C30 charge IC applies a conservative current limit on cells it has not yet profiled — this is intentional, not a fault. On the first charge the IC holds back to avoid stressing an unverified cell, so the indicator plateaus well short of full. Disconnect from mains once it stalls, power the monitor on and run it for a short session, then reconnect to mains for a second uninterrupted charge. The IC will recalculate the charge ceiling and the indicator will reach 100%.
