Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Coolpad CP3321ST / Belleza — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (CPLD-442)
This is a 3.7V, 1350mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the Coolpad CP3321ST, CP3321AT, CP3321, and Belleza smartphones. It replaces OEM part CPLD-442 when the original cell no longer holds a charge or fails to power the handset. Capacity listed is from product data: 1350mAh (5Wh).
- CP3321 and Belleza platform compatibility: The CP3321ST, CP3321AT, CP3321, and Belleza share the same battery bay dimensions and connector pinout. All four models use the CPLD-442 cell format — same 57.30 × 43.00 × 5.20mm footprint, same voltage rail, same BMS communication protocol.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge on a CP3321ST unit. The BMS accepted the new cell without error flags, charge termination triggered correctly at capacity ceiling, and protection cutoff activated as expected at low-voltage threshold.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first install: After swapping this cell in, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-to-charge cycle before enabling high-current charging. The fuel gauge IC is calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve — one full cycle lets it map the new cell before fast charge pushes current into an uncalibrated profile.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Coolpad CP3321ST
This is a voltage cliff failure. At around 20–30% reported charge, the cell voltage drops sharply under the combined load of the modem radio and screen backlight. The fuel gauge IC still reports remaining capacity, but the actual cell voltage falls below the SoC threshold the BMS will sustain. The phone shuts off to protect the cell even though the percentage readout hasn't hit zero. One full recalibration cycle — full drain to auto-shutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100% — resets the coulomb counter and reduces the gap between reported and real voltage.
Phone shows incorrect battery percentage after cell replacement
The fuel gauge IC stores a learned discharge curve from the old cell. When the new CPLD-442 is installed, that stored curve no longer matches actual cell behaviour, so the reported percentage drifts from real state of charge. You may see the percentage jump several points or stall during charging. Run one complete discharge cycle from 100% down to auto-shutoff, then charge back to 100% without interruption. After that single cycle, the coulomb counter recalibrates to the new cell and percentage accuracy stabilises.

Frequently Asked Questions
The Coolpad Belleza won't turn on at all after the new battery sat in a drawer for a few weeks — is the cell dead?
Likely not dead — the BMS has tripped into deep-discharge lockout. If the cell dropped below approximately 2.5V during storage, the protection circuit opens and the phone won't respond to a normal power press. Connect the phone to a wall charger (not a PC USB port, which may not supply enough current) and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing anything. The charge IC will trickle current into the cell until voltage climbs back above the BMS recovery threshold, at which point the phone will begin a normal charge cycle.
Fast charging stopped working on the CP3321ST right after I installed the replacement battery — worked fine on the old cell.
The USB charge protocol handshake runs between the charger and the phone's charge IC, but the new cell's BMS needs one standard charge cycle before it signals readiness for elevated current. On the first cycle after installation, the charge IC defaults to a lower current rate as a safety measure against an uncalibrated cell. Charge the phone once at standard rate — full drain to 100% without fast charge enabled — then re-enable fast charging. If fast charge still doesn't engage after that cycle, check that the original fast-charge adapter is in use, as the protocol is adapter-dependent.
The CP3321 feels noticeably warm near the back of the phone while charging the new battery — is that normal?
Some warmth is expected on the first few charge cycles with a new cell. A fresh high-impedance cell draws charge current less efficiently than a broken-in one, and the charge IC dissipates that extra energy as heat. The temperature should drop to near-normal levels after two or three full cycles as internal impedance settles. If the phone stays hot to the touch throughout a full charge after five or more cycles, check that the charge port is clear and that you're using a 5V/1A adapter — higher-voltage adapters not matched to the phone's charge IC will run the circuit hotter than the cell can manage.
