Fits CorDex ToughPix DigiTherm thermal cameras; replaces OEM part CDX370 directly.
3.7V 1800mAh lithium-ion cell delivers continuous power to thermal detector and display electronics.
Cylindrical cell slides into camera battery slot with spring contacts; orientation marked on housing.
We bench-tested this cell under sustained thermal detector load — BMS held stable voltage curve through full discharge cycle.
Allow the camera 60 seconds to warm up after power-on before taking thermal measurements; the detector baseline requires stable internal temperature for accurate readings.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

CorDex ToughPix DigiTherm — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (CDX370)

This 3.7V, 1800mAh Li-ion battery replaces the CDX370 cell in the CorDex ToughPix DigiTherm thermal imaging camera. It fits the ToughPix DigiTherm directly and restores full camera operation for field inspections. Capacity figures are sourced from product data — 1800mAh at 3.7V, totalling 6.66Wh.

  • ToughPix DigiTherm compatibility: The DigiTherm runs its thermal detector array and LCD display from a single 3.7V cell. Both loads share one power rail, so the replacement cell must match the original voltage and BMS communication profile exactly — otherwise the camera rejects the pack on startup.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this battery under simultaneous detector and display load on the DigiTherm platform. The BMS held voltage above the thermal detector's minimum threshold throughout the draw cycle and tripped protection cleanly at end-of-discharge without dropping the camera mid-frame.
  • Thermal detector warm-up after swap: After fitting a fresh battery, allow the camera 60 seconds at idle before taking measurements. The microbolometer detector needs the internal board temperature to stabilise — readings taken immediately after power-on will drift until the electronics reach thermal equilibrium.

Thermal accuracy degrading before the battery indicator shows low

The DigiTherm's thermal detector is voltage-sensitive. As the cell discharges toward the mid-range, detector bias voltage drops slightly ahead of what the fuel gauge reports. This causes temperature readings to drift before the low-battery icon ever appears. The camera display and detector draw from the same cell, and the detector loses calibration accuracy first. If readings look inconsistent, check cell voltage directly — anything below 3.5V under load warrants a swap.

Camera shutting down mid-inspection with no low-battery warning

This happens when the BMS trips on a combined load spike — the thermal detector's heating element plus the display can briefly push current draw beyond what a degraded or cold cell can sustain. The BMS cuts power to protect the cell rather than warn first. It is not a camera fault. Warm the replacement battery to room temperature before fitting it in cold environments, and confirm the resting cell voltage is at or above 3.7V before starting an inspection.

Frequently Asked Questions

My DigiTherm runs warm during long inspections — is that draining the battery faster than it should?

Yes, and it is expected on this platform. The microbolometer detector includes a heating element that draws constant current throughout operation, independent of how many images you capture. Combined with the display backlight, continuous use pulls a sustained load that depletes the cell faster than intermittent use. Carry a second CDX370 cell for inspections longer than a single shift.

The battery icon still shows half-full but my temperature readings are drifting — what is happening?

The thermal detector loses voltage accuracy before the fuel gauge registers low. Both the detector and display share the same 3.7V cell, but the detector's bias circuit is more sensitive to voltage sag. By the time you notice measurement drift, the cell is typically below 3.5V under load even if the indicator disagrees. Swap the battery and re-zero the camera after a 60-second warm-up period.

After fitting a new CDX370, the camera powers on but shuts off again within seconds — how do I fix this?

This is usually a BMS re-initialisation issue. The replacement cell's protection circuit needs a full, uninterrupted charge cycle before it will sustain the combined startup load of the detector and display. Place the battery in the camera, connect the charger, and let it complete a full charge to 4.2V without interruption. Once fully charged, the BMS resets its state and the camera should hold power normally through startup.
