Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Craftsman FS2600 Series — 19.2V Li-ion Replacement Battery (11371)
This is a 19.2V Li-ion replacement battery rated at 3000mAh (57.6Wh) for the Craftsman FS2600 cordless string trimmer and edger. It also fits the CR2100, 115920, 115970, and over 65 additional Craftsman 19.2V models that share the same battery platform. Replaces OEM part numbers 11371, 11374, 11375, 11376, 17300, 130285003, PP2000, PP2010, PP2011, PP2020, PP2025, and PP2030.
- Craftsman 19.2V platform compatibility: All models in this fit list share the same 19.2V rail, identical physical connector, and compatible BMS handshake protocol — so one pack covers the full range without adaptation.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through motor-start inrush conditions on a 19.2V Craftsman trimmer. The BMS handled repeated trigger-pull spikes without nuisance tripping, and cell voltages balanced correctly across the discharge curve.
- First-use load cycling on the FS2600: Run the trimmer at half throttle for two complete discharge-charge cycles before sustained full-load trimming. This lets the BMS profile the motor's inrush current and set accurate overcurrent thresholds before you push it hard.
BMS cutoff on motor-start inrush during trigger pull
The FS2600 motor draws a sharp current spike the instant the trigger is pulled — this inrush can briefly exceed the BMS overcurrent threshold, especially on a new or cold pack. The BMS responds by cutting output to protect the cells, and the tool appears dead. Let the pack sit at room temperature for 15 minutes, then pull the trigger slowly rather than snapping it fully open. After two break-in cycles the BMS recalibrates its threshold to the motor's actual inrush profile.
Charger shows blinking red and never accepts the new pack
A 19.2V Li-ion pack stored for an extended period can drop below the charger's minimum acceptance voltage, typically around 12–14V on a 5-cell pack. The charger sees the low rail and refuses to begin a full charge cycle, flashing red instead. Most Craftsman 19.2V chargers include a recovery mode — remove the pack, wait 30 seconds, then reinsert firmly and hold it in place for 10 seconds to trigger the trickle recovery sequence. Once the pack climbs above the acceptance threshold, the charger switches to normal charge mode automatically.

Frequently Asked Questions
My FS2600 trimmer cuts out the moment I pull the trigger — is the battery faulty?
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a faulty cell. The motor's start-up inrush current spikes sharply on trigger pull, and a new or cold pack's BMS can interpret that spike as a fault. Warm the pack to room temperature, then pull the trigger gradually instead of snapping it. After two full discharge-charge cycles the BMS profiles the motor draw and stops tripping.
The trimmer runs fine for the first minute, then bogs down and loses power under thick grass — what's happening?
Sustained heavy cutting raises both motor and cell temperature inside the enclosed battery housing. As cell temperature climbs, internal resistance increases and the pack can no longer hold the voltage rail steady — the tool bogs under load even though capacity remains. Stop cutting and let the pack cool for five minutes with the battery removed from the tool. If it recovers to full speed after cooling, reduce continuous cutting passes to 90-second intervals to stay below thermal cutoff.
The FS2600 feels noticeably weaker during winter yard work — is the battery going bad?
Li-ion internal resistance rises sharply below 5°C, which causes voltage sag under motor load — the pack reads as charged but can't deliver the current the trimmer needs. The battery is not failing; it's a chemistry limitation in cold air. Store the pack indoors at room temperature and only bring it outside immediately before use. A pack warmed to at least 15°C will deliver its full rated 19.2V rail during cutting.
