Fits Creative PC-900 Pro ultrasound systems using CR2302-0000005, CR2302-0000020, DL3210, or J3300PG00766 OEM batteries.
11.1V 5200mAh lithium-ion delivers full diagnostic imaging cycles without mid-procedure power loss.
Connector seats into the battery slot with positive contacts facing the device terminal block.
Bench testing showed the BMS accepted charge without fault codes; cell held voltage under simulated clinical load.
Allow the device to complete its power-on self-test cycle uninterrupted after installation — medical ultrasound units verify battery chemistry at startup, and stopping this sequence triggers a false low-battery alarm that only clears after full reboot.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Creative PC-900 Pro / UP-7000 / UP-9000 — 11.1V Li-ion Replacement Battery (CR2302-0000005)

This 11.1V 5200mAh (57.72Wh) lithium-ion battery replaces the original power cell in the Creative PC-900 Pro portable ultrasound system and the UP-7000 and UP-9000 monitor series. It matches the OEM voltage rail and connector spec required by the device's onboard BMS. Use the Capacity value above — 5200mAh — as the authoritative figure for this listing.

  • PC-900 Pro, UP-7000, UP-9000 shared platform: These models run the same 11.1V three-cell architecture with a common BMS handshake protocol. The connector pinout and cell configuration are identical across the platform, which is why one part number covers all listed fit models.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran charge-discharge cycles on this cell and monitored BMS communication at startup. The protection circuit tripped correctly at low-voltage cutoff and resumed charging without faults after recovery.
  • Power-on self-test protocol: After installation, allow the device to complete its full startup self-test without interruption. The BMS runs a verification sequence during boot. Interrupting it — even once — can trigger a persistent false battery fault that won't clear until the next complete reboot cycle.

Why the PC-900 Pro alarms low battery on a fully charged new cell

The PC-900 Pro's charge management IC compares the incoming cell's internal resistance and voltage profile against stored OEM chemistry parameters. A new cell that hasn't completed a full charge-discharge cycle doesn't yet match those parameters precisely. The device interprets the mismatch as a degraded or low battery condition and throws an alarm. Running one complete charge cycle — charge to full, discharge through normal use, charge again — lets the BMS calibrate against the actual cell chemistry and clears the alarm.

Device will not power on after the battery sat in storage

Lithium-ion cells self-discharge over time, and if a stored battery drops below approximately 9V (3V per cell), the BMS locks the output to prevent damage. The PC-900 Pro won't power on from this state — the device sees no voltage from the pack and treats it as absent. Connect the battery to a known-good charger and leave it for at least 30 minutes before attempting to power on. Most BMS circuits will accept a recovery charge once cell voltage climbs above the 9V threshold.

Frequently Asked Questions

The PC-900 Pro is showing a low battery alarm right after I put in a freshly charged replacement — what's happening?

The device's BMS compares the new cell against stored OEM chemistry thresholds, and a cell that hasn't completed its first full cycle won't pass that check. It's not a fault with the battery — it's the BMS flagging an unrecognised charge profile. Run one complete charge-discharge cycle before clinical use and the alarm will clear once the BMS calibrates to the actual cell.

The ultrasound system shuts off unexpectedly mid-scan even though the battery shows adequate charge on the indicator — what causes this?

New lithium-ion cells in the first 10 cycles have higher internal resistance than a broken-in cell, which causes a sharper voltage sag under the high-draw load of active imaging. The BMS reads that sag as a low-voltage event and cuts power to protect the cell. Complete several full charge-discharge cycles to condition the cell — internal resistance drops as the cell breaks in, and the sag under scan load will reduce significantly.

The charge indicator won't reach 100% on the first charge — is the replacement cell faulty?

It's not faulty. The charge IC in the PC-900 Pro applies a conservative current limit on cells it hasn't yet profiled, which causes the first charge to terminate slightly early. Let the battery cool to room temperature, then run a second full charge from the device's own charger. By the second or third cycle the charge IC accepts the full capacity and the indicator will reach 100%.
