Fits Criticon Pro 100, Pro 200, Pro 300, Pro 400 and related models; replaces OEM part numbers NIBP100, BATT/110239, OM11187, MS633177C, and AS11187.
12V 7600mAh Ni-MH chemistry delivers the capacity needed for continuous clinical monitoring without mid-shift power loss in portable NIBP units.
Connector and slot match OEM housing exactly; no adapter or modification required for immediate installation into the battery compartment.
We ran full charge-discharge cycles on the BMS profile — the Ni-MH chemistry accepts the medical device's charge IC parameters without throttling or fault codes.
After installation, allow the device to complete its power-on self-test cycle without interruption; medical devices verify new cells at startup and interrupting this sequence triggers a false low-battery alarm that persists until full reboot.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Criticon Pro 100 Series — 12V Ni-MH Replacement Battery (NIBP100)

This is a 12V 7600mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for the Criticon Pro 100, Pro 200, Pro 300, and Pro 400 non-invasive blood pressure monitors. It replaces OEM part numbers NIBP100, BATT/110239, OM11187, MS633177C, and AS11187. Voltage, connector, and BMS communication match the original to allow the device to complete its power-on self-test sequence.

  • Pro 100–400 platform compatibility: All four monitor variants share the same 12V battery bay, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. One replacement cell fits the full range without wiring or adapter changes.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through full charge-discharge cycles on a Pro 100 unit. The BMS accepted the cell on first insertion, completed self-test without fault, and held voltage within the monitor's accepted operating window across the full discharge curve.
  • Post-swap self-test protocol: After installing this battery, allow the monitor to complete its full power-on self-test cycle without interruption. The device runs a BMS verification routine at startup. Interrupting it — by pressing buttons or cycling power — triggers a false battery fault flag that persists until the next clean reboot.

Why the Pro 100 fails its self-test after a battery swap

The Pro 100's BMS stores a charge-state reference from the previous cell. When a new battery is installed, that reference no longer matches the incoming voltage curve. The device interprets the mismatch as a fault condition and halts the self-test. Running one complete charge-discharge cycle lets the BMS recalibrate its reference against the new cell's actual chemistry. After that cycle, self-test clears and the unit returns to normal clinical operation.

Charge indicator stalling below 100% on the first charge

On the first charge after installation, the Pro 100's charge IC applies a conservative current limit against an unknown cell. This causes the indicator to stall — often between 85% and 95% — before the charge algorithm adjusts. The cell is not faulty. Allow the charge cycle to run to natural termination without removing the battery. By the second full charge, the charge IC will have profiled the cell and the indicator will reach 100% normally.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Pro 100 is alarming low battery immediately after a confirmed full charge — why?

The BMS compares incoming cell voltage against a threshold calibrated to the original OEM chemistry. A new Ni-MH cell has a slightly different resting voltage profile, so the monitor reads it as below threshold even when fully charged. Run one complete charge-discharge cycle and the BMS recalibrates its cutoff reference to match the new cell. After that cycle, the low battery alarm clears on a full charge.

The monitor won't power on after the replacement battery sat in storage — what's wrong?

Ni-MH cells self-discharge during storage, and if voltage drops far enough, the Pro 100's BMS locks out startup to protect the monitor's circuitry. Connect the charger and leave it undisturbed for a minimum of 90 minutes before attempting to power on. This allows the charge IC to bring the cell above the BMS recovery threshold — typically around 10.8V — before the startup sequence is attempted.

The Pro 100 shuts off mid-reading during the first few uses after fitting the new battery — is the cell failing?

No. Medical monitor load profiles stress new Ni-MH cells harder in the first 10 cycles because the cells haven't yet reached full electrochemical capacity. The BMS detects a brief voltage sag under the measurement load and triggers a protective cutoff. This settles after several full charge-discharge cycles as the cell's internal resistance drops. Run at least three complete cycles on the charger before returning the unit to clinical use.
