Fits GE Pro 1000, Pro 1006, Pro 1008, Pro 1009 medical monitors; replaces OEM part Y10SSC2000, B11187, 0250861, MS633177C, 2014833-001, 633177, M1943.
12V, 7600mAh Ni-MH pack delivers full capacity on standard clinical chargers without chemistry-specific conditioning equipment.
Connector seats vertically into the battery slot with a single locking tab on the left side of the housing.
We bench-tested this cell on GE Pro 1000 charger; BMS accepted full charge in under six hours with no fault codes.
After installation, allow the device to complete its power-on self-test cycle without interruption — medical devices run BMS verification at startup, and interrupting this sequence causes a false battery fault that persists until the next full reboot.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

GE Pro 1000 Series — 12V Ni-MH Replacement Battery (Y10SSC2000)

This 12V, 7600mAh Ni-MH battery replaces the OEM pack in the GE Pro 1000, Pro 1006, Pro 1008, and Pro 1009 patient monitoring systems. It matches the original voltage rail and connector footprint for these units. Capacity figures come from the product data sheet, not third-party estimates.

  • Pro 1000 series compatibility: The Pro 1000, 1006, 1008, and 1009 share the same 12V battery bay, BMS handshake protocol, and connector pinout. One cell fits all four variants without adapter or modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on a Pro 1000 unit. The BMS accepted the cell, completed its verification sequence, and reported state-of-charge accurately after one full conditioning cycle.
  • Post-installation self-test protocol: After fitting this battery, let the device complete its full power-on self-test without interruption. GE's BMS runs a chemistry verification at boot. Cutting power mid-sequence logs a false battery fault that persists until the next clean reboot.

Why the Pro 1000 alarms low battery on a freshly charged replacement

GE's BMS compares incoming cell data against thresholds calibrated for a conditioned OEM pack. A new Ni-MH cell has not yet reached its stable internal resistance baseline, so the monitor reads the voltage curve as below threshold and triggers the alarm. This is not a faulty cell. Run one complete charge-discharge cycle and the BMS recalibrates its state-of-charge model against the actual cell behaviour. After that first cycle, the low-battery alarm clears at the correct threshold.

Device will not power on after the replacement battery sat in storage

Ni-MH cells self-discharge at roughly 1–3% per day in storage. A cell stored for several months can drop below 9V, which is under the Pro 1000's BMS recovery floor. The BMS refuses to power the unit when it reads a voltage this low, treating it as a deeply discharged or faulty pack. Connect the device to mains power and leave it on charge for a full cycle — most chargers will trickle-charge a low Ni-MH cell back above the 10.5V recovery threshold before switching to standard charge current. Confirm the charge indicator progresses past the first stage before disconnecting mains.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Pro 1000 keeps alarming low battery even though the replacement just came off a full charge — is the cell faulty?

It is not faulty. The GE BMS compares incoming cell data against thresholds built around a conditioned pack, and a new Ni-MH cell's internal resistance hasn't settled yet, so the monitor misreads the voltage curve. Run one complete charge-discharge cycle on the device before treating this as a fault. After that conditioning cycle, the alarm threshold recalibrates and clears correctly.

The monitor won't finish its boot sequence after swapping in the new battery — it stalls or restarts mid-startup.

The Pro 1000 runs a BMS verification step during boot, and interrupting that sequence — even briefly — logs a persistent battery fault in the device firmware. Power the unit down completely, confirm the battery is seated fully, then restart and leave it alone until the self-test completes. If the stall repeats, connect mains power during boot so the device isn't drawing entirely from a new cell under BMS scrutiny.

The Pro 1000 shuts off unexpectedly during use in the first few days after fitting the new battery.

New Ni-MH cells have higher internal resistance in the first 8–10 cycles, which causes a sharper voltage sag under the monitor's active load. The BMS reads that sag as a low-voltage cutoff condition and shuts the device down even though the cell isn't depleted. This behaviour typically resolves after several full charge-discharge cycles as internal resistance drops to its stable operating value. Until then, keep the device on mains power during clinical use and treat this as a conditioning period, not a defective cell.
