• BM101-M parent unit fit: The BM101-M parent unit runs its display, speaker, and 2.4GHz radio module from a single Li-Polymer cell at 3.7V nominal. This cell matches that voltage rail and the physical footprint of the factory unit — no adapter or modification needed.
• Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the BM101-M parent unit. The BMS accepted the cell without fault flags, and the protection circuit tripped correctly at low-voltage cutoff before the unit could deep-discharge the pack.
• Wireless link after battery swap: After fitting this cell, re-pair the parent unit with the camera unit. The BM101-M loses its stored pairing when the parent unit drops to zero volts — the radio module resets and needs to re-establish the link from scratch.

Parent unit battery draining overnight during normal use

Running the BM101-M parent unit through the night with the screen on is a sustained draw — the LCD backlight, speaker circuit, and 2.4GHz radio all pull from the same 3000mAh cell continuously. A degraded original cell collapses under this load well before morning. This replacement cell restores full capacity, but screen timeout is still worth enabling. Setting the display to auto-off after 30–60 seconds significantly reduces overnight draw while keeping audio and alerts active.

Night vision not working after battery replacement

The camera unit's IR LED array requires a stable voltage from its own power source, but the parent unit's radio signal must be strong and stable for the night vision feed to transmit cleanly. If the parent unit battery is below roughly 3.5V, the radio output drops and the IR video stream breaks up or disappears entirely. Charge the parent unit fully after fitting this replacement — 4.2V at full charge — before testing night vision. Once the cell reaches full charge, the video feed stabilises and IR frames transmit without dropout.
