Fits Divoom Timebox Evo portable speaker, replaces OEM INR18650 Li-ion cell.
Delivers 3.7V nominal, 2600mAh capacity — restores full charge cycles for audio and LED display operation.
Single 18650 cylindrical cell installs vertically into the speaker's battery compartment with spring contacts at base.
We bench-tested the BMS discharge curve under sustained 1.5A audio load; voltage held flat until final 10% then dropped sharply, typical Li-ion behavior.
On first insertion into Timebox Evo, the cell may show low-battery indicator despite being fully charged — remove and reseat the spring contacts once to sync the fuel gauge.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Divoom Timebox Evo — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (INR18650)

This is a 3.7V, 2600mAh (9.62Wh) Li-ion INR18650 cell for the Divoom Timebox Evo portable Bluetooth speaker. It powers both the audio amplifier and the LED pixel display simultaneously. Fits the Timebox Evo directly — confirm your unit takes a single 18650 cell before ordering.

  • Timebox Evo power rail: The Evo runs its amplifier, Bluetooth radio, and LED matrix from a single 18650 cell at 3.7V nominal. All three loads share that rail simultaneously, so the cell sees combined current draw during high-volume playback with animations active.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles while monitoring the protection circuit. The BMS responded correctly to overdischarge cutoff and resumed charging without manual reset on each test cycle.
  • Monthly full-discharge cycle: The Timebox Evo is commonly used as a desk speaker and topped off before it drops below 50%. Discharge the cell below 20% at least once a month before recharging — without it, the fuel gauge drifts and the display reports false charge levels within a few months.

Why the Timebox Evo audio distorts before the battery indicator reaches empty

As the INR18650 cell discharges, internal resistance rises and cell voltage sags under amplifier load. At high volume, the amplifier demands peak current that the weakened cell cannot deliver without dropping voltage below the amplifier's stable operating threshold. The amplifier clips the output signal to compensate — you hear distortion while the display still shows charge remaining. This happens earlier as the cell ages. A new cell with lower internal resistance eliminates the sag and pushes the clipping point back toward actual empty.

Timebox Evo won't wake from USB after sitting unused for weeks

A deeply discharged INR18650 cell can drop below the USB charging controller's minimum acceptance voltage — typically around 2.5V. Below that threshold, the charger circuit sees the cell as absent or faulty and refuses to initiate a charge cycle. Plugging into USB appears to do nothing. To recover, use a dedicated Li-ion cell charger that supports a trickle or recovery mode to bring the cell back above 2.8V, then return it to the Evo for normal USB charging.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Timebox Evo Bluetooth keeps cutting out when I push the volume past halfway — is that a battery issue?

Yes, and it's a specific one. At high volume, the amplifier and Bluetooth radio draw peak current at the same time, causing the cell voltage to sag sharply. If the sag drops voltage enough, the Bluetooth radio resets to protect itself while the amplifier keeps running. A fresh INR18650 cell with lower internal resistance holds voltage steady under that combined load — replace the cell and test at full volume before assuming a firmware or radio fault.

The Timebox Evo charges to full overnight but after a couple of hours of use it drops to empty suddenly — what's happening?

That sudden drop is fuel gauge drift, not a charging fault. It builds up when the cell is repeatedly topped off from 50–70% without ever reaching a full discharge-and-recharge cycle. The gauge loses its reference points at both ends of the capacity curve. Fit a new cell, then run it down below 20% before its first full recharge — this calibrates the gauge from the start and prevents the same pattern from repeating.

The Timebox Evo gets noticeably warm on top during long play sessions — is the battery overheating?

The heat comes from two sources stacked in a small housing: the amplifier running continuously and the INR18650 cell discharging under combined audio and LED load. A degraded cell with rising internal resistance generates more heat per cycle than a fresh one. If the unit feels hot rather than warm, check that the speaker grille vents aren't blocked by fabric or a case. A new cell reduces the resistive heating contribution — if warmth persists after replacement, the amplifier circuit is the remaining source.
