Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Doogee S30 — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (BAT17S305580)
This is a 5000mAh, 3.8V lithium-polymer cell that replaces the original BAT17S305580 battery in the Doogee S30 rugged smartphone. It fits the S30 directly and restores power capacity when the original cell has degraded or failed to hold charge. Capacity is 19Wh as rated.
- S30 platform fit: The S30 uses a fixed battery bay with a specific connector pinout tied to the BAT17S305580 spec. This cell matches that connector, voltage rail, and physical footprint — 79.60 x 56.04 x 6.50mm — so it seats without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran charge and discharge cycles through the S30's charge IC and confirmed the BMS handshake completed correctly. Cell voltage held steady above the protection cutoff under sustained screen and modem load.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After installation, disable fast charging and run one full discharge-to-charge cycle at standard rate. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before the system applies high-current fast charging to an uncalibrated cell.
Why the S30 reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap
The S30 uses a fuel gauge IC that tracks charge state against a learned discharge curve from the old cell. When a new cell goes in, that stored curve no longer matches the actual cell chemistry or capacity. The IC keeps estimating from stale data until it relearns. One complete discharge below 5% followed by a full charge to 100% at standard rate forces the IC to recalibrate against the new cell's actual voltage slope.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell
This happens when the fuel gauge IC still holds the old cell's voltage-to-capacity map and calls a false low-voltage cutoff too early. Under modem or display load, voltage sags briefly — the IC reads that sag as a dead cell and trips the shutdown. The fix is the same recalibration cycle: drain the phone to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% without interruption. After one full cycle the gauge IC re-anchors its zero point to the new cell's resting voltage of approximately 3.6V at low state-of-charge.

Frequently Asked Questions
The S30 won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months — is it dead?
Most likely the cell dropped below the BMS lockout threshold, typically under 2.5V per cell, during storage. At that voltage the protection circuit opens and blocks all current flow — the phone sees no power source at all. Connect a known-good USB-C charger and leave it untouched for 30–60 minutes; the charge IC on the S30 runs a trickle pre-charge mode to bring a deeply discharged cell back above the BMS re-enable threshold. If the battery icon appears after that period, the cell is recovering — continue charging to 100% before first boot.
Fast charging stopped working after fitting this battery — the S30 now charges slowly even with the original fast charger.
On the first cycle after a cell swap, the S30's charge IC sometimes falls back to standard charging rate because the new BMS hasn't completed its initial handshake with the phone's USB-PD negotiation logic. This is normal on cycle one. Run one full standard-rate charge to 100%, reboot the phone, then reconnect the fast charger — the protocol negotiation resets and fast charge resumes. If it still doesn't engage after that cycle, confirm the charger outputs at least 5V/2A, as the S30's fast charge threshold requires it.
The battery percentage on my S30 keeps jumping around erratically — it reads 45%, drops to 12%, then jumps back up.
Erratic percentage jumps are a fuel gauge IC recalibration issue, not a faulty cell. The coulomb counter inherited calibration data from the old battery and is misreading the new cell's discharge curve at mid-range voltages where the Li-Polymer slope is relatively flat. Do not restart or recharge mid-cycle — let the phone discharge in normal use until it shuts itself down automatically, then charge straight to 100% without unplugging. After that single uninterrupted cycle the gauge IC resets its coulomb counter against the actual cell and the percentage display stabilises.
