Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

DoorLock DL-2EN — 6V Alkaline Replacement Battery
This is a 6V alkaline replacement battery for DoorLock electronic door locks, carrying the OEM part number DL-2EN. It outputs 2300mAh (13.8Wh) and fits the lock's internal battery compartment at 65.30 x 52.50 x 14.50mm. When the original battery depletes, this unit restores power to the locking motor, keypad, and access control circuitry.
- DoorLock electronic lock compatibility: DoorLock's DL-2EN platform runs a 6V rail that powers both the motor drive and the access control logic from a single cell pack. Swapping to any other voltage or chemistry can confuse the internal electronics or fail to drive the motor under load.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this battery through motor-actuation loads on the bench. The output held steady across keypad unlock events and Bluetooth-triggered cycles, with no voltage sag that would cause a mid-cycle motor stall.
- Post-swap access method check: After replacing the battery, test every access method — keypad, Bluetooth, and any keycard — before closing the door. Some DoorLock units run a firmware handshake on first power-up after a battery interruption, and that process must complete before all credential types are accepted.
Why the DoorLock still shows low battery after a fresh DL-2EN install
Some DoorLock units latch a low-battery flag in firmware and don't clear it automatically when new batteries are fitted. The lock reads the flag before it reads the live voltage, so the warning persists even though the cell is at full charge. To clear it, remove the batteries, hold the reset pad (or interior button, depending on model) for five seconds, then reinsert. The lock will re-read the voltage rail and drop the warning once it confirms the supply is above its threshold — typically around 5.4V for a 6V system.
Bluetooth not connecting to the DoorLock app after battery replacement
A full power interruption — even a brief one during battery swap — causes some DoorLock models to drop their Bluetooth pairing state. The lock's radio module re-initialises at startup, and depending on firmware version, it may not automatically re-advertise to previously paired phones. Open the DoorLock app, remove the lock from your paired device list, then put the lock into pairing mode by holding the interior button for three seconds. Re-pair from scratch and confirm the app shows the lock status as connected before testing a remote unlock.

Frequently Asked Questions
The lock motor sounds slow and the bolt is barely moving — I just put in a new DL-2EN battery
A sluggish motor almost always means the battery was sitting at storage voltage rather than full charge. Alkaline cells can self-discharge in the supply chain, and a cell sitting below 5.8V won't drive the DoorLock motor at full torque. Check the battery date code — use the freshest pack available, and confirm the cell reads at or above 6V with a multimeter before installing.
Lock worked fine for a week after replacing the battery, then stopped responding to keypad input entirely
This points to the keypad module losing its power reference after a minor voltage dip — often caused by loose battery contacts rather than a dead cell. Remove the battery pack, clean the contact terminals with a dry cloth, and reseat the battery firmly. If the keypad still won't respond, remove the batteries for 30 seconds to force a full controller reset, then reinsert and wait for the startup sequence to complete before entering a code.
My DoorLock is beeping continuously and won't lock or unlock — batteries are brand new
Continuous beeping on a DoorLock unit after a battery swap usually signals a polarity error or a mismatch between the fitted battery and the lock's expected 6V specification. Confirm the DL-2EN is seated with the positive terminal facing the marked end of the compartment. Then verify the lock's internal voltage with a multimeter across the battery contacts — the reading should be between 5.8V and 6.3V. If polarity and voltage are correct, a 30-second battery removal will reset the alarm latch.
