Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Dopod S900c / Touch Pro — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (DIAM171)
This is a 3.7V, 2400mAh Li-ion cell built to the DIAM171 specification. It fits the Dopod S900c and Touch Pro Windows Mobile smartphones. It drops in with the original connector and BMS handshake, restoring power to both devices without modification.
- S900c and Touch Pro compatibility: Both devices run the same voltage rail and share the DIAM171 connector pinout. The BMS negotiation protocol is identical across the two platforms, so one cell covers both without any wiring changes.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell on the S900c under GSM modem load and full-screen brightness. The BMS held regulation through the high-draw cycles and did not trip the overcurrent cutoff during screen-on modem bursts.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After installing this cell, run one full discharge to device shutdown followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100%. The phone's fuel gauge IC was calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve. One complete cycle rewrites the coulomb counter baseline so percentage readings stay accurate.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the S900c after a cell swap
This happens because the fuel gauge IC still uses the old cell's voltage-to-capacity curve. When the new cell hits a steeper voltage drop under modem or display load, the phone's low-voltage cutoff fires before the reported percentage reaches zero. The OS reads 25% right up until the cell voltage sags below the cutoff threshold. One full discharge-charge cycle forces the coulomb counter to remap against the actual discharge curve of the new cell.
Device won't power on after sitting in storage — BMS lockout
Li-ion cells self-discharge in storage. If the S900c sat unused for months, the cell voltage may have dropped below 2.5V per cell — the point where most BMS circuits lock out to prevent cell damage. The phone will show no response when you press the power button. Connect the device to a wall charger and leave it for 15–20 minutes before attempting to power on; the charge IC needs to trickle current into the cell until the BMS sees voltage above the recovery threshold, typically around 2.8–3.0V, before it will re-enable discharge.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Dopod S900c shuts off at around 25% battery — did I get a bad cell?
The cell is almost certainly fine. The fuel gauge IC on the S900c was calibrated to your old battery's discharge curve, and the new cell has a slightly different voltage drop profile under load. When the modem fires or the screen peaks, the cell voltage sags faster than the IC expects, triggering the hardware low-voltage cutoff before the displayed percentage reaches zero. Run one complete discharge to shutdown and a full uninterrupted charge to 100% — that resets the coulomb counter to the new cell's actual curve.
The battery percentage on my Touch Pro jumps around erratically after fitting this cell — is the battery faulty?
It is not faulty. The Touch Pro's fuel gauge IC is recalibrating against the new cell and hasn't finished mapping the discharge curve yet. Erratic percentage readings — jumping from 60% to 45% without warning — are typical in the first two or three charge cycles after a cell swap. Complete two full discharge-charge cycles without interrupting the charge, and the readings will stabilise as the coulomb counter builds an accurate baseline for the new cell.
My S900c won't turn on at all after the replacement battery arrived — it just shows a black screen when I press power.
This is a BMS lockout, not a dead phone. If the replacement cell's voltage dropped below roughly 2.5V during shipping or storage, the BMS will block all discharge current to protect the cell. Plug the device into a wall charger — not a PC USB port — and leave it connected for at least 20 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC will trickle current into the cell until voltage climbs above the BMS recovery threshold, around 2.8–3.0V, at which point the battery will resume normal charging and the phone will respond to power-on.
