Fits Doro Primo 368 with OEM part number RCBNTC05 replacement.
3.7V and 1000mAh capacity restore full charge cycles to this senior phone.
Connector seats flush into the battery slot with a single locking tab underneath.
Bench testing showed the BMS accepted full charge on cycle one with stable voltage curve.
On first power-on after installation, allow one complete discharge-to-full charge cycle before heavy use so the fuel gauge IC recalibrates to the new cell's discharge profile.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Doro Primo 368 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (RCBNTC05)

This is a 3.7V, 1000mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the Doro Primo 368 mobile phone. It replaces part number RCBNTC05 and restores power to a phone that no longer holds a charge or fails to turn on. Dimensions are 62.15 x 38.10 x 4.60mm — confirm these against your original cell before installing.

  • Primo 368 fitment: The Primo 368 uses a removable cell behind the rear cover. This battery matches the original voltage rail, connector position, and BMS handshake so the phone's charge IC accepts the cell without errors.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on a Primo 368 unit. The BMS negotiated correctly with the charge IC on the first cycle, with no overcharge or thermal cutoff events recorded.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable any fast-charge mode for one full discharge-charge cycle. This allows the fuel gauge IC to build an accurate discharge curve against the new cell before high-current charging is applied to an uncalibrated system.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Primo 368 after a cell swap

This happens because the fuel gauge IC is still using the discharge curve of the old, degraded cell. The new cell has a different voltage-to-capacity profile, so the IC misreads the state of charge. When load spikes — a call, screen brightness surge, or network scan — the actual cell voltage drops below the shutdown threshold before the gauge reaches zero. One full discharge-charge cycle without interruption resets the coulomb counter and corrects the reported percentage.

Phone won't power on after the replacement battery was left uncharged in storage

Li-ion cells self-discharge in storage. If the cell voltage drops below approximately 2.5V, the BMS enters a lockout state to prevent damage and the phone will not respond to the power button. Connect the phone to a wall charger — not a USB port — and leave it for 15–20 minutes without pressing anything. The charge IC will trickle-charge the cell back above the BMS recovery threshold, after which normal charging resumes.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Primo 368 shuts off on its own when the battery still shows 25% — is the new cell faulty?

It is not faulty. The fuel gauge IC calibrated its discharge curve against the old cell and does not yet know the new cell's voltage profile. Under load — a call or network search — the actual terminal voltage drops faster than the gauge expects, triggering a low-voltage shutdown before the display reaches zero. Run one uninterrupted full discharge down to automatic shutdown, then charge to 100% without removing the cable. After that single cycle the coulomb counter resets and the shutdowns stop.

The battery percentage on the Primo 368 jumps around erratically after I fitted this cell — sometimes it gains 10% without charging.

The fuel gauge IC is recalibrating. It stored learned parameters from the original cell and is now reconciling those against the new cell's actual voltage readings. The jumping settles after one or two complete discharge-charge cycles as the IC overwrites the old calibration data. Do not top-up charge during this period — let the phone discharge fully to auto-shutdown each time, then charge uninterrupted to 100%.

My Primo 368 feels warm near the battery compartment during the first few charges after fitting this replacement — is that normal?

A new Li-ion cell typically has higher internal impedance than a well-conditioned cell, so the charge IC works harder to push current through in the early cycles. This produces slightly more heat than you may be used to. It is not a fault. The warmth should reduce after three to five full charge cycles as the cell's impedance drops. If the phone becomes hot to the touch or shows a charging error, disconnect immediately and check that the battery connector is seated flat with no pins bent.
