Fits Dreame D20 Pro, D20 Pro Plus, and D20 Ultra — replaces R2412-4S2P-FMTEV, R2412-4S2P-MMYD, R2412-452P-XDEV.
14.4V 5200mAh pack delivers 74.88Wh to the motor — equivalent output to OEM cells across all listed D20 variants.
Connector seats flush into the battery slot with vertical orientation — locking tab engages without force when fully seated.
We bench-ran this cell through five charge cycles on Dreame's standard dock — BMS accepted full voltage immediately, no delay or fault light.
Do not leave this battery on the charging dock continuously after reaching full charge — trickle charging degrades capacity faster than removing and storing off-dock.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Dreame D20 Pro Series — 14.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (R2412-4S2P-FMTEV)

This 14.4V 5200mAh (74.88Wh) Li-ion battery pack is a direct replacement for the Dreame D20 Pro and D20 Pro Plus cordless stick vacuums. It fits the same battery bay and uses the same OEM connector as the original pack. When the factory battery stops holding a charge after heavy cycling, this unit restores full motor power without replacing the entire vacuum.

  • D20 Pro and D20 Pro Plus compatibility: These models share a common 14.4V power rail and identical battery bay geometry. The BMS handshake protocol is the same across the D20 Pro, D20 Pro Plus, and D20 Ultra variants, so the vacuum's motor controller recognises this pack without error codes or reduced-power modes.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through repeated charge and discharge cycles on the D20 Pro platform. The BMS held cutoff voltage correctly at the low end and did not trip on the sustained high-draw the motor pulls under carpet cleaning load.
  • Dock charging behaviour on the D20 Pro: Remove this vacuum from the charging dock once the indicator shows full. The D20 Pro's dock does not cut trickle current cleanly — leaving the battery on dock continuously accelerates cell degradation faster than normal cycling would.

Cordless vacuum losing suction before the battery indicator reaches low

On the D20 Pro, suction drops noticeably before the battery LED shows a low-charge warning. This happens because a partially blocked filter forces the motor to draw higher current than rated. The BMS detects the overcurrent condition and pulls back power to protect the cells, cutting effective airflow well before the battery is actually depleted. Clean or replace the HEPA filter first — if suction recovers, the battery was not the fault. If suction remains weak with a clean filter on a freshly charged pack, the cell voltage under load is dropping below 12.0V and the pack needs replacing.

Motor cuts out mid-clean and then recovers after a few seconds

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a power switch fault. It happens when the motor sustains a restricted-airflow load — thick carpet, a blocked brush roller, or a clogged filter — long enough for the BMS to register an overcurrent event and open the discharge circuit. The pack resets itself once the cell temperature drops slightly, which is why suction returns after a brief pause. Clear any brush roller blockage and check the filter; if the cutout continues on open hard floors with a clean machine, the cells can no longer sustain the motor's peak draw and the pack has reached end of service life.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Dreame D20 Pro battery drains much faster than it used to but the filter is clean — what's happening?

Capacity fade from continuous dock charging is the most common cause. The D20 Pro's charging dock maintains a trickle current after the pack is full, and cells kept in that state degrade faster than cells that are charged and then removed. Over time each cell loses usable capacity, so the vacuum pulls the same motor current but from a smaller effective energy reserve. Charge the replacement pack fully, remove it from the dock, and only return it to charge when it is genuinely depleted.

The D20 Pro vacuum won't turn on at all after sitting unused for several weeks — is the battery dead?

Deep self-discharge is the likely cause. Li-ion cells left in a discharged state for weeks can drop below the BMS's minimum recovery threshold, causing the pack to appear completely dead. Place the battery on the charger for at least 30 minutes before testing — some BMS units need a slow trickle before they will allow a full charge cycle to begin. If the charger LED never changes state after an hour, the cells have dropped below 2.5V per cell and the pack will not recover.

My Dreame D20 Pro suction drops sharply on carpet but works fine on hard floors — which part is actually at fault?

Carpet demands significantly more motor current than hard floor cleaning, and a degraded battery pack cannot sustain the voltage the motor needs under that higher load. The voltage sag pulls the pack below the BMS's operating threshold, so the motor backs off and suction drops. Test the voltage across the pack terminals under load — a healthy 14.4V pack should hold above 13.0V during normal carpet cleaning. If it sags below that, the cells are the fault; if voltage holds steady and suction still drops, check the brush roller and filter for restriction.
