Fits Eureka i5 cordless stick vacuums; replaces OEM battery pack for 14.4V motor systems.
14.4V and 2600mAh capacity delivers 37.44Wh total energy to sustain motor torque across carpet and hard floors.
Slides into the i5 battery slot with side-release latch; connector seats flush when fully inserted.
We bench-tested this cell in the i5 frame at full motor draw — BMS held steady, no early cutoff observed.
Do not leave the vacuum on its charging dock continuously; remove when fully charged to prevent capacity fade from trickle charge.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Eureka i5 — 14.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This is a 14.4V 2600mAh lithium-ion battery pack for the Eureka i5 cordless stick vacuum. It fits the i5's motor and BMS connector directly. Voltage and capacity match the original factory specification.

  • Eureka i5 compatibility: The i5 platform runs a single 14.4V Li-ion pack that powers both the main motor and the brushroll. The BMS in this pack matches the voltage rails the i5 charger expects, so the charging circuit recognises and accepts it without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through full charge and discharge on the i5 platform. The BMS handled motor start-up current draw without tripping, and the cell voltage held stable across the discharge curve until the low-voltage cutoff engaged.
  • Dock charging on the i5: Do not leave the i5 sitting on its charging dock permanently. Continuous trickle charging accelerates capacity fade in Li-ion packs significantly faster than charging only when the pack is depleted. Charge to full, then remove it from the dock.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator shows low

This happens when the motor draws more current than rated — usually caused by a partially blocked filter or restricted airflow, not a failing battery. Under that load, cell voltage sags early and the BMS reads it as low-charge before the pack is actually depleted. Clean or replace the filter first, then retest. If suction returns to normal, the battery was not the problem.

Motor cutting out mid-run and then recovering after a pause

This is a BMS overcurrent trip — the pack shuts output down to protect the cells, then resets once temperature or current drops. Sustained suction restriction forces the motor to draw beyond the pack's rated discharge ceiling. Check the filter and brushroll for blockages before blaming the battery. A clear airpath keeps motor draw within the 14.4V pack's continuous current limit and prevents repeat trips.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Eureka i5 runs for a short time then the suction drops off well before the battery light comes on — is this the battery or something else?

Most of the time it's a blocked filter, not the battery. A restricted filter forces the motor to work harder, pulling more current than the pack is rated for — this causes the cell voltage to sag early and the vacuum loses power before the battery is genuinely flat. Clean or replace the foam and felt filters first and retest. If full suction returns, the battery was fine.

The Eureka i5 motor keeps cutting out during use but comes back on after I leave it for a minute — what's triggering this?

That's the BMS tripping on an overcurrent event, not a faulty battery. When airflow is blocked — usually a clogged filter or tangled brushroll — the motor pulls above the pack's continuous discharge limit, and the BMS shuts output off to protect the cells. It resets once current demand drops. Clear the brushroll and check the filter; if the cutouts stop, airflow restriction was the cause, not the pack.

The replacement battery on my i5 fades noticeably after only a few months — I always leave it on the dock between uses. Could that be the cause?

Yes — continuous dock charging is one of the fastest ways to degrade a Li-ion pack. Leaving the i5 on the dock keeps the cells under a low-level trickle charge that compounds over time, accelerating capacity loss far quicker than normal use cycles would. Charge the pack to full, remove it from the dock, and only return it when it needs charging. That single change will extend usable capacity significantly.
