Eureka i5 — 14.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This is a 14.4V 2600mAh lithium-ion battery pack for the Eureka i5 cordless stick vacuum. It fits the i5's motor and BMS connector directly. Voltage and capacity match the original factory specification.

• Eureka i5 compatibility: The i5 platform runs a single 14.4V Li-ion pack that powers both the main motor and the brushroll. The BMS in this pack matches the voltage rails the i5 charger expects, so the charging circuit recognises and accepts it without modification.
• Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through full charge and discharge on the i5 platform. The BMS handled motor start-up current draw without tripping, and the cell voltage held stable across the discharge curve until the low-voltage cutoff engaged.
• Dock charging on the i5: Do not leave the i5 sitting on its charging dock permanently. Continuous trickle charging accelerates capacity fade in Li-ion packs significantly faster than charging only when the pack is depleted. Charge to full, then remove it from the dock.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator shows low

This happens when the motor draws more current than rated — usually caused by a partially blocked filter or restricted airflow, not a failing battery. Under that load, cell voltage sags early and the BMS reads it as low-charge before the pack is actually depleted. Clean or replace the filter first, then retest. If suction returns to normal, the battery was not the problem.

This is a BMS overcurrent trip — the pack shuts output down to protect the cells, then resets once temperature or current drops. Sustained suction restriction forces the motor to draw beyond the pack's rated discharge ceiling. Check the filter and brushroll for blockages before blaming the battery. A clear airpath keeps motor draw within the 14.4V pack's continuous current limit and prevents repeat trips.
