Fits Shark V1925 and XBV1925 cordless vacuums; replaces OEM part VAC-V1925.
4.8V Ni-MH chemistry delivers steady motor voltage through cleaning cycles without the voltage sag that causes early suction loss.
Connector slides straight into the battery slot with a single locking tab; orient the contact terminals upward before inserting.
We bench-tested this cell on a V1925 motor load and confirmed the BMS held steady output across a full discharge cycle.
Do not leave the vacuum on the charging dock permanently — continuous dock charge degrades Ni-MH capacity fast; charge to full and remove.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Euro Pro Shark V1925 / XBV1925 — 4.8V Ni-MH Replacement Battery (VAC-V1925)

This is a 4.8V, 3000mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for the Euro Pro Shark V1925 and XBV1925 cordless handheld vacuum cleaners. It fits directly in place of the original VAC-V1925 cell pack. If your Shark handheld is losing suction quickly or not holding a charge at all, this is the cell pack to replace.

  • V1925 and XBV1925 compatibility: Both models share the same 4.8V motor voltage rail, physical cell pack housing, and connector. The BMS on each unit expects the same charge curve, so one cell pack covers both variants without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through the Shark V1925 motor circuit under load. The BMS held steady through sustained suction cycles, with no overcurrent trip on start-up or under carpet-level restriction.
  • Dock charging habit for this vacuum: Do not leave the V1925 sitting on the charging dock permanently. Continuous trickle charge on a Ni-MH pack accelerates capacity fade faster than on-demand charging. Charge to full, then remove from the dock until the next use.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low on the V1925

A partially blocked filter forces the motor to draw more current than rated to maintain airflow. That elevated draw pulls the cell voltage down faster, which the motor controller reads as a low-battery condition before the indicator agrees. The battery is not always the cause — clean the filter first. If suction recovers after a filter clean, the original cell pack may still have life left. If the issue returns quickly with a clean filter, the cell pack has degraded below useful capacity and the voltage sag is genuine.

Motor cuts out mid-use, then recovers after a short pause

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. When suction airflow is restricted — blocked nozzle, saturated filter, or heavy debris — motor current spikes and the BMS interrupts the circuit to protect the cells. The pack recovers once current drops back below the trip threshold, which is why the vacuum restarts after a few seconds. Clear the blockage or replace the filter before assuming the battery is at fault. If the trip happens on a clean, unobstructed vacuum, the original cell pack has degraded and can no longer sustain the motor's rated draw — replace the pack.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Shark V1925 runs for a very short time even after a full charge — is the filter involved?

Yes, a restricted filter is the most common reason a V1925 drains a fresh charge faster than expected. The motor pulls significantly more current trying to push air through a clogged filter, which collapses cell voltage faster than normal use. Clean or replace the filter first, then run a full charge cycle. If runtime stays short on a clean filter, the cell pack itself has degraded and needs replacing.

The V1925 was left on the dock for months — now it barely holds a charge. What happened?

Continuous dock charging feeds a low-level trickle current into a Ni-MH pack indefinitely. Over weeks and months, this causes heat buildup inside the cells and permanently reduces their capacity to hold a charge. The damage is cumulative and is not recoverable by cycling. Replace the cell pack and charge only when the vacuum is depleted — remove it from the dock once the charge indicator shows full.

My replacement battery won't charge on the Shark V1925 — the charger light just stays off. What should I check?

Some V1925 chargers monitor the temperature sensor line in the cell pack connector before starting a charge cycle. If the connector isn't fully seated, the charger sees an open circuit and won't initiate. Press the pack firmly into the housing until it clicks, then re-dock. If the charge light still won't come on, check that the dock contacts are clean and making full metal-to-metal contact — oxidised dock pins at 4.8V drop enough voltage to prevent the charger from detecting the pack.
