Fits FiiO BTR3K portable Bluetooth amplifier; replaces OEM CS-SWL900SL Li-Polymer cell.
3.7V 280mAh capacity restores full wireless audio amplification and DAC processing on the BTR3K.
Connector is soldered directly to the BTR3K PCB; polarity marked on housing.
We bench-tested this cell in the BTR3K DAC circuit; BMS accepted charge without fault codes.
On first installation, charge fully before a listening session — DAC output voltage sags at low battery and audio clarity degrades noticeably until cells reach stable voltage.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Fiio BTR3K — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery

This is a 3.7V 280mAh Li-Polymer battery for the Fiio BTR3K portable Bluetooth DAC and amplifier. It fits the BTR3K directly. Use the capacity figure from this listing — 280mAh — not third-party sources, which vary.

  • BTR3K platform fit: The BTR3K runs a single-cell Li-Polymer configuration at 3.7V nominal. This cell matches that voltage rail and the physical dimensions (32.00 × 17.40 × 5.70mm) required by the internal battery bay. The BMS in the BTR3K monitors cell voltage directly — a mismatched cell triggers protection cutoff at boot.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the BTR3K platform. The BMS accepted the cell without fault flags, balanced to full charge cleanly, and the protection circuit tripped correctly at low-voltage cutoff — no forced shutdowns during normal audio output.
  • Wireless streaming draw on the BTR3K: Bluetooth streaming keeps the radio active continuously, which adds a constant load on top of the DAC and amp circuits. Avoid extended Bluetooth use at maximum gain — the combined draw accelerates cell depletion faster than wired USB DAC mode on the same charge level.

Why the BTR3K won't boot after a battery swap

A freshly installed replacement cell may sit below the BTR3K's minimum boot voltage — typically under 3.0V — after time in storage. The device's BMS interprets this as an unsafe cell and blocks startup entirely. This is not a fault with the hardware or the battery. Plug the BTR3K into USB-C charge for at least 15 minutes before attempting to power it on.

Audio output degrading or distorting at low charge

The BTR3K's DAC and amplifier circuits are sensitive to supply voltage. As cell voltage drops toward 3.2V, the amp stage loses headroom and audible distortion or volume drop can appear — especially at higher gain settings. This is not a hardware fault. Charging the device back above 3.6V restores clean output. If distortion persists at full charge, the original cell has likely degraded past usable capacity and needs replacement.

Frequently Asked Questions

My BTR3K won't turn on after I installed the new battery — did I get a dead cell?

Probably not. Replacement Li-Polymer cells ship in a partial-charge storage state, often below 3.0V, which is under the BTR3K's minimum boot threshold. The BMS blocks startup at that voltage as a protection measure. Connect the BTR3K to a USB-C charger and leave it for 15–20 minutes before pressing the power button — the cell needs enough charge to cross the boot floor first.

My BTR3K cuts out during Bluetooth streaming but stays on fine in wired USB DAC mode — why?

Bluetooth streaming keeps the radio transmitter active at all times, which adds a continuous load on top of the DAC and amp circuits. On a 280mAh cell, that combined draw is significantly higher than wired mode, and the BMS will trigger a low-voltage shutdown sooner than you'd expect from the indicator light alone. Switch to USB DAC mode when the battery is low to finish a session — or charge before streaming at high gain settings.

The audio sounds distorted and thin near the end of a charge — is that the battery or the amp?

It's the battery voltage. The BTR3K's amp stage loses output headroom as the cell drops toward 3.2V, and distortion or thinning is the first audible symptom — particularly noticeable at higher gain. Charge the unit back above 3.6V and the distortion should clear. If it persists at a full charge, the cell inside has degraded past recoverable capacity and replacement is the correct fix.
