Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Fujifilm X-T4 / GFX100S / X-H2S — 7.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (NP-W235)
This is a 7.4V, 2000mAh (14.8Wh) Li-ion replacement for the Fujifilm NP-W235 battery pack. It fits the X-T4, GFX100S, GFX50S II, and X-H2S mirrorless cameras. The NP-W235 powers the sensor, autofocus system, image stabilisation, and video processing across all four bodies.
- X-T4, GFX100S, GFX50S II, X-H2S compatibility: All four bodies share the NP-W235 form factor and the same 7.4V rail. The BMS connector pinout and physical housing are identical across the range, so one spare covers the full lineup.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through full charge and discharge cycles on the X-T4 body. The BMS accepted the cell after one full charge via the in-camera USB-C circuit, reporting capacity correctly on the battery indicator.
- First charge on a new cell: Complete one full charge cycle through the camera body or OEM charger before shooting. The X-T4's BMS maps battery-remaining percentage against the cell's discharge curve — skipping this step causes the indicator to read inaccurately until the cycle completes.
Why sustained 4K recording drains the NP-W235 faster than photo shooting
During 4K video on the X-T4, the sensor, image processor, in-body stabilisation, and autofocus all draw current simultaneously. That combined load is substantially higher than single-shot still photography. The BMS monitors cell temperature under this sustained draw — if the cell runs hot, it throttles output before the percentage indicator drops to zero. This is normal behaviour, not a fault with the replacement cell.
Battery percentage jumping or reading 0% then recovering on the X-T4
This happens when the camera's indicator threshold map doesn't yet match the new cell's discharge curve. The X-T4 builds that map during the first full charge-discharge cycle. Until then, voltage readings near the lower end of the curve can fall between calibration points, causing the display to jump. Run one complete cycle — charge to full, shoot until the camera shuts off — and the percentage readout stabilises. After cycling, the cell should hold a resting voltage of approximately 8.2V at full charge.

Frequently Asked Questions
My X-T4 shows "no battery" or flashes the battery icon when I insert the replacement — what's happening?
The X-T4 runs an authentication check on first insertion, and a new third-party cell sometimes fails it on the cold install. Place the battery in the camera, connect USB-C power, and let it run a full charge cycle through the camera body. That handshake resets the BMS acceptance state and the body recognises the cell correctly on the next power-on.
My shot count is far lower than I expected — is the replacement cell underspec?
Shot count drops significantly when the EVF, continuous autofocus, in-body stabilisation, and burst mode are all active — each adds measurable draw on top of the base shutter spec. The rated figures assume moderate use with those features off or minimal. Check that sensor-cleaning on startup is disabled and that EVF brightness is not set to maximum; both are easy draws to cut without affecting image quality.
The X-T4 body gets noticeably warm during long video sessions and the battery depletes faster in those conditions — is this a cell problem?
It's a load problem, not a cell fault. Sustained 4K recording stacks sensor readout, image stabilisation, and processor heat into the same compact body, and that thermal buildup raises internal resistance in the cell — which increases draw and reduces usable capacity per session. Keep the battery compartment clear of obstruction and avoid recording in direct sunlight on hot days. If the body triggers an overheat warning, power off for five minutes and check the cell is seated flush so heat transfer to the body chassis is not blocked.
