Fits Garmin Tactix Delta smartwatch, OEM part 361-00126-00 replacement.
3.7V, 400mAh Li-Polymer cell restores multi-day runtime on this tactical GPS watch.
Connector is a two-pin magnetic pogo contact; orientation aligns with the charging dock.
We ran bench cycles on this cell—BMS accepted the handshake cleanly, voltage hold stable.
After fitting this battery, place the watch on its charger immediately and charge to 100% before first use — the fuel gauge IC cannot calibrate without a full charge cycle from near-zero after a cell swap.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Garmin Tactix Delta — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (361-00126-00)

This is a 3.7V, 400mAh Li-Polymer cell for the Garmin Tactix Delta smartwatch (010-02357-00). It replaces OEM part 361-00126-00. If your watch no longer holds a charge across multi-day GPS or tactical use, this is the cell to swap.

  • Tactix Delta platform fit: The Tactix Delta uses a fixed connector pinout and a fuel gauge IC that tracks cell impedance over time. This replacement matches the original cell's dimensions (36.70 × 24.50 × 4.95mm), connector orientation, and impedance profile so the fuel gauge reads correctly after swap.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran the cell through charge and discharge cycles on a Tactix Delta unit. The BMS accepted the new cell without error flags, and the fuel gauge IC settled to accurate readings after one full charge cycle from near-zero.
  • Fuel gauge calibration after cell swap: Place the watch on its magnetic charger immediately after fitting this cell and charge to 100% before first use. The fuel gauge IC on the Tactix Delta loses its reference point when the original cell is removed — it cannot calibrate without a full charge cycle from near-zero post-swap.

Why the Tactix Delta battery meter reads incorrectly after a cell replacement

The Tactix Delta uses a coulomb-counting fuel gauge IC that builds a model of the cell's capacity over hundreds of cycles. When you remove the old cell, that reference is wiped. The new cell starts with no history, so the IC estimates state-of-charge from open-circuit voltage alone — which produces jumpy or inaccurate percentage readings. One full charge-discharge cycle from near-zero gives the IC enough data to recalibrate and display accurate percentages again.

GPS and always-on display draining the new cell in under a day

The Tactix Delta's always-on MIP display and continuous GPS polling together pull significantly more current than basic timekeeping — this is normal hardware behaviour, not a fault with the cell. If the watch drains faster than expected in the first week after swap, the fuel gauge IC is still building its impedance model against the new cell's profile. Disable always-on display and continuous heart rate monitoring temporarily, then re-enable after a full calibration cycle. If drain remains severe after that, check that GPS mode is set to GPS-only rather than multi-band in Settings → Activity Profiles.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Tactix Delta shows 0% and won't turn on right after I put the new battery in — did I get a dead cell?

The cell is almost certainly fine. When the original battery is disconnected, the fuel gauge IC loses its charge reference entirely and defaults to 0% on the new cell's open-circuit voltage. Place the watch on the magnetic charger immediately and leave it until it reads 100% — do not attempt to power it on mid-charge. After one full charge cycle, the IC resets its reference and the percentage will read accurately.

The heart rate sensor seems to be killing the new battery much faster than it did the old one — is something wrong?

This is expected behaviour in the first week after a cell swap. The Tactix Delta's optical HR sensor adjusts LED drive current based on the cell's impedance, and a new cell has lower impedance than a worn one — the sensor briefly draws more current while the firmware adapts. Run the watch through two or three full charge-discharge cycles and the drain rate will normalise. If it hasn't settled after five cycles, disable continuous HR monitoring in Settings → Health & Wellness and check whether drain improves.

The watch won't pair with my phone after the battery swap even though it's fully charged now.

Removing the battery kills the active BLE session and wipes the secure pairing handshake from volatile memory. On your phone, go to Bluetooth settings, forget the Tactix Delta, then open the Garmin Connect app and re-pair from scratch using the Add Device flow. Do not attempt to pair from the phone's Bluetooth menu alone — the Garmin Connect app must initiate the pairing to re-establish the encrypted link correctly.
