Fits GE PowerFlex 3D 10502 and replaces OEM battery GB-50 or GB-50A.
3.7V lithium-ion cell delivers 800mAh capacity for full image capture and flash cycles.
Connector seats vertically into camera battery door with single-tab locking mechanism confirmed.
Bench testing on camera body accepted the cell after one full charge cycle.
On first install, charge this cell fully in the camera body before shooting—GE firmware requires an in-camera charge handshake to map the battery-remaining display correctly.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

GE 10502 PowerFlex 3D / G100 / PJ1 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (GB-50)

This is a 3.7V, 800mAh Li-ion cell that replaces the GE GB-50 and GB-50A batteries. It fits the GE 10502 PowerFlex 3D, G100, PJ1, and DV1 digital cameras. Voltage and capacity match OEM spec exactly.

  • Multi-model fit — 10502 PowerFlex 3D, G100, PJ1, DV1: These GE cameras share the same GB-50 cell form factor, connector orientation, and 3.7V nominal voltage rail. One cell works across the range without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the bench. The BMS accepted the cell without error, voltage held steady across the discharge curve, and the protection circuit tripped cleanly at the low-voltage cutoff threshold.
  • First-install charge cycle on the 10502 PowerFlex 3D: Insert the cell and run one full charge cycle through the camera body or OEM charger before shooting. Some GE camera BMS systems need this initial cycle to calibrate the battery-remaining indicator and accept a new cell for accurate percentage display.

Camera showing dead battery indicator on a partially charged replacement cell

The GE 10502's battery indicator reads voltage thresholds mapped to the original cell's discharge curve. A new GB-50 replacement cell can present a slightly different open-circuit voltage at partial charge, which the camera misreads as critically low. This usually resolves after one full charge-to-discharge cycle inside the camera body. If the indicator still reads empty on a known-charged cell, charge to full via the OEM charger and check that the terminal voltage at the connector reads 4.1–4.2V before reinserting.

Battery percentage jumping erratically during a shoot

The GE G100 and PJ1 map battery percentage to discrete voltage steps rather than a continuous fuel-gauge algorithm. A fresh cell's discharge curve doesn't always align with those steps on the first few cycles, so the percentage can jump — for example, from 80% to 45% — without a real capacity drop. After two or three full charge cycles, the camera's voltage thresholds and the cell's actual discharge curve align more closely. If the jumping persists past three cycles, check the contact pins on the battery door for oxidation and clean them with a dry cloth.

Frequently Asked Questions

My GE 10502 PowerFlex 3D shows "no battery" when I insert the new GB-50 replacement — is the cell dead?

The camera's BMS runs an authentication check on insert and can reject a new cell if it hasn't seen a charge cycle yet. Remove the battery, charge it fully in the OEM charger until the charge light goes solid, then reinsert. This single cycle is usually enough for the 10502 to recognise the cell. If it still shows no battery after a full charge, clean the gold contact pads on the cell with a dry cloth and reinsert — oxidation on a new cell's contacts is a common cause.

Why does my GE G100 seem to go through the new battery faster than my original one did?

Shot count drops when the flash capacitor, continuous autofocus, and image stabilisation all draw simultaneously — these loads add up well beyond the base sensor-and-processor draw the rated capacity is measured against. Cold ambient temperatures also compress the usable capacity on any Li-ion cell, including a new one. The 800mAh rating reflects a controlled discharge at room temperature with no flash load. To stretch capacity, disable flash when shooting in available light and keep the camera body at room temperature between shots.

The flash on my GE PJ1 isn't fully recycling between shots since I fitted the new battery — what's happening?

Flash recycling depends on the capacitor recharge rate, which is directly tied to how much current the cell can supply. If the replacement cell is at a low state of charge, recharge current sags and the capacitor takes longer to reach full charge voltage. This is not a fault with the cell — it's normal Li-ion behaviour at low state of charge. Charge the GB-50 to full and retest; if recycle time is still noticeably slow at full charge, check that the battery contacts are seating firmly, as a loose connection raises internal resistance at the connector.
