Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Highscreen Power Four — 3.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery (Power Four)
This 3.8V, 3000mAh Li-ion cell replaces the original battery in the Highscreen Power Four smartphone. It fits the Power Four directly and matches the original voltage and capacity spec. Install it when the original cell no longer holds enough charge for a full day of use.
- Highscreen Power Four fit: The Power Four uses a fixed connector and BMS handshake tied to the 3.8V nominal rail. This cell matches that rail and the connector pinout, so the phone's charge IC and fuel gauge IC communicate with the replacement the same way they did with the original.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the bench, confirmed BMS communication stayed active across the full voltage window, and checked that the charge IC accepted current without tripping an overcurrent fault.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-to-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before the charge IC pushes high current into an uncalibrated cell.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Highscreen Power Four
This is a voltage cliff issue. Under heavy load — modem activity, screen-on, or GPS — the cell voltage drops sharply below what the fuel gauge IC expects at that state of charge. The phone's protection circuit interprets this as a critical low-voltage event and cuts power before the percentage reaches zero. It is most common in the first few cycles on a new cell before the fuel gauge IC has recalibrated. Run two full discharge-charge cycles without fast charging to let the coulomb counter re-anchor to the new cell's actual voltage curve.
Highscreen Power Four not powering on after sitting in storage
If the phone sat for weeks or months with the battery installed and deeply discharged, the BMS may have locked out below 2.5V per cell to prevent damage. In this state the phone will not respond to a standard power button press. Connect it to a wall charger — not a PC USB port — and leave it for 15–20 minutes before attempting to power on. The charge IC needs to trickle current into the cell to bring voltage above the BMS re-enable threshold, typically around 2.8–3.0V, before normal charging resumes.

Frequently Asked Questions
The Highscreen Power Four keeps shutting off around 25% battery — why does it cut out before it reaches zero?
This is a voltage cliff. Under modem or screen load, the new cell's voltage drops faster than the fuel gauge IC expects at that charge level, and the phone's protection circuit triggers a shutdown before the percentage counts down further. The fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve. Run two full discharge-charge cycles without fast charging — after that, the coulomb counter will have remapped to the new cell and the shutdowns should stop.
The battery percentage on my Highscreen Power Four is jumping around erratically after I replaced the battery — is something wrong with the cell?
Nothing is wrong with the cell. The fuel gauge IC stores a discharge model built from hundreds of cycles on the old cell, and when a new cell goes in, the stored model no longer matches the actual voltage curve. The percentage reads whatever the old model predicts at a given voltage, which causes erratic jumps. One complete discharge down to auto-shutoff followed by a full charge to 100% forces the coulomb counter to reset its reference points against the new cell.
Fast charging stopped working on my Highscreen Power Four right after I swapped the battery — what happened?
On the first cycle after installation, the charge IC may not accept the fast-charge handshake from a new BMS. The IC defaults to standard 5V charging until it has confirmed the cell's impedance and temperature profile are within spec. Charge the phone fully once at standard speed using a wall adapter rated at 5V/1A or 5V/2A. After that first full cycle, reconnect your fast charger — the charge IC should accept the higher-current protocol at that point.
