Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Philips Xenium X526 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (AB1200AWMC)
This is a 3.7V Li-ion battery rated at 1100mAh (4.07Wh), built to fit the Philips Xenium X526 and CTX526 mobile phones. It replaces the original AB1200AWMC cell when the existing battery has degraded, swollen, or stopped holding a useful charge. Swap it in and the phone powers on as normal.
- Xenium X526 and CTX526 compatibility: Both the X526 and CTX526 share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pin-out, and 3.7V nominal voltage rail. One cell fits both variants without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran the AB1200AWMC cell through full charge and discharge cycles on the bench. The BMS responded correctly to charge termination signals and held voltage within spec at the connector throughout the draw cycle.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first cycle: On first use after installation, run the battery from 100% down to automatic shutdown without interruption, then charge back to full in one unbroken session. This gives the phone's fuel gauge IC a complete discharge curve for the new cell so percentage readings stay accurate.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Xenium X526 after a cell swap
The Xenium X526 fuel gauge IC stores a discharge curve calibrated to the original cell. A new cell has a slightly different internal resistance and voltage profile, so the IC misjudges the remaining charge at higher state-of-charge readings. When the modem transmits or the screen brightness spikes, current draw pulls the cell voltage below the shutdown threshold faster than the gauge predicts. One complete discharge-charge cycle lets the IC remap its curve to the new cell. After that cycle, shutdowns at 20–30% stop.
Phone won't power on after the replacement battery sat in storage
Li-ion cells self-discharge in storage. If the AB1200AWMC cell has sat unused for several months, its resting voltage may have dropped below 2.5V — the point where the BMS locks out to prevent damage to the cell chemistry. The phone will show nothing when you press power. Connect the phone to a charger and leave it for 15–20 minutes before attempting to power on; the charge IC will trickle current into the cell until voltage rises above the BMS re-enable threshold, typically around 2.9–3.0V, at which point normal charging resumes.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Philips Xenium X526 keeps shutting off at around 25% battery after I put in the new cell — why?
The fuel gauge IC on the X526 is still using the discharge curve it learned from the old, degraded cell. When screen or modem load spikes current draw, the cell voltage drops faster than the IC expects, triggering an early shutdown. Run one full uninterrupted cycle — charge to 100%, use until automatic shutdown, then charge back to full — and the IC will recalibrate to the new cell's actual voltage curve. Shutdowns at 20–30% should stop after that single cycle.
The battery percentage on my X526 jumps around erratically after fitting the replacement — is the new battery faulty?
It is not a faulty cell. The coulomb counter in the X526 accumulated error over the life of the old battery and carries that error forward when a new cell is installed. It has not yet mapped how voltage corresponds to charge level on the new cell. Complete one full discharge-charge cycle without interruption and the fuel gauge IC will lock onto the correct curve. Percentage readings stabilise within the first two cycles.
My Xenium X526 won't turn on at all after the replacement battery arrived — what do I do?
The cell likely discharged below 2.5V during shipping or storage, causing the BMS to lock the battery out as a protection measure. Pressing power does nothing because voltage is too low for the phone's boot circuit. Plug the phone into a charger and leave it untouched for 15–20 minutes — the charge IC delivers a low trickle current until the cell climbs back above approximately 3.0V and the BMS re-enables normal charging. The screen should show a charging indicator within that window.
