Fits Hoover S1105 and S1117 series stick vacuums replacing OEM part P-13S/F3P1.
3.6V, 3000mAh Ni-MH chemistry delivers consistent motor voltage under sustained floor cleaning loads.
Rectangular connector slides into battery slot with locking tab — verify tab alignment before inserting.
We bench tested the BMS under sustained motor draw and confirmed stable voltage delivery without premature cutoff.
Do not leave this vacuum on the charging dock continuously — trickle charge degrades Ni-MH capacity fast; charge fully and remove immediately.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Hoover S1105 Series — 3.6V Ni-MH Replacement Battery (P-13S/F3P1)

This is a 3.6V, 3000mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for the Hoover S1105 cordless stick vacuum. It fits the S1105, S1117-981, S1117-900, and 59139115, along with seven additional models in the same family. Capacity is 10.8Wh — matching the original specification from the product data.

  • S1105 family compatibility: These models share the same 3.6V single-cell Ni-MH architecture, connector pinout, and motor driver circuit. No BMS handshake is required — voltage compatibility at the cell level is what matters here.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the S1105 motor circuit. Current draw stayed within spec under normal floor load, and the cell held voltage without sag until depletion.
  • Dock charging habit on the S1105: Do not leave this vacuum sitting on the charging dock after it reaches full charge. Ni-MH cells in this voltage class degrade faster under continuous trickle charge than from regular use cycles. Charge to full, then remove it from the dock.

Battery fade from leaving the S1105 on the dock continuously

The S1105 charger does not cut off cleanly when the cell reaches full charge — it transitions to a low trickle current rather than stopping. Over weeks, that trickle oxidises the negative electrode in the Ni-MH cell, reducing usable capacity. You will notice the vacuum depletes faster even on a fresh replacement if the same docking habit continues. Charge only when depleted and unplug once the indicator shows full.

Suction drops noticeably before the battery indicator reaches low

This is a motor load issue, not a battery failure. A partially blocked filter forces the motor to draw higher current than rated to maintain airflow. That elevated draw pulls the cell voltage down faster than normal cycling would. Clean or replace the S1105 filter first — if suction recovers, the cell is likely fine. If voltage still sags under normal load after a filter clean, check the cell resting voltage; it should sit above 3.4V when fully charged.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Hoover S1105 motor cuts out for a few seconds then comes back on — is that the battery or a blockage?

That intermittent cutout is a BMS overcurrent trip, and it is almost always triggered by restricted airflow rather than a failing cell. When the filter or dustbin is partially blocked, the motor draws more current than the protection circuit allows, and it shuts off briefly to recover. Clear the filter and check the dustbin before assuming the battery is at fault. If the cutout stops after clearing the restriction, the cell is not the problem.

The S1105 runs fine but loses suction halfway through a clean even though the battery light hasn't changed — what causes that?

Suction drop mid-clean without a low-battery warning points to voltage sag under sustained motor load, not to a depleted cell. A Ni-MH cell at 3.6V can still trigger the indicator circuit as "charged" while delivering insufficient current to maintain full motor speed under load. Check the filter condition first — restricted airflow amplifies the draw and accelerates the sag. If the filter is clean and sag persists, measure resting cell voltage after a full charge; it should read 4.2V or above before use.

I fitted the new P-13S/F3P1 cell but the S1105 won't charge — the indicator light doesn't come on at all.

The S1105 charger detects cell presence by measuring a minimum resistance across the charge contacts before enabling current flow. A loose connector seating or oxidised contact pad on the replacement cell will break that detection circuit. Remove the cell, inspect both contact pads for debris or corrosion, reseat firmly, and retry. If the indicator still does not activate, test the charger output voltage directly — it should read between 4.5V and 5V at the contacts with no cell inserted.
