Fits HP LC200W Mini WiFi Cam, restoring wireless surveillance operation when OEM cell depletes.
3.7V Li-ion cell delivers 1050mAh capacity for continuous recording and connectivity across full charge cycles.
Compact 43.30 x 31.30 x 7.10mm form slots directly into LC200W battery compartment with standard connector alignment.
We bench-tested this pack in the LC200W body — BMS accepted the cell on first insertion with no authentication delay; voltage held steady through a full discharge cycle.
On first use, charge this cell fully inside the LC200W camera body itself rather than an external dock — the camera's BMS needs one internal charge cycle to map the new discharge curve to its battery-remaining display.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

HP LC200W Mini WiFi Cam — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This is a 3.7V, 1050mAh (3.89Wh) Li-ion cell for the HP LC200W Mini WiFi Cam. It fits both the LC200W Mini WiFi Cam and the standard LC200W variant. When the original cell degrades, wireless connectivity and continuous recording both suffer — this cell restores the camera to working condition.

  • LC200W platform fit: Both LC200W variants share the same 3.7V single-cell architecture and battery bay dimensions (43.30 × 31.30 × 7.10mm). The BMS in each reads cell voltage directly — no proprietary authentication chip on this platform, so physical fit and correct voltage are what matter.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the LC200W platform. The BMS accepted the cell cleanly, reached full charge voltage without incident, and held stable output across Wi-Fi transmission and recording load simultaneously.
  • First-install charge cycle on the LC200W: Run one complete charge cycle through the camera body before extended recording sessions. Some compact surveillance cameras calibrate their battery-remaining indicator against the first full charge cycle — skipping this can cause the indicator to read inaccurately from the first use.

Why the LC200W battery indicator jumps erratically after installing a new cell

The LC200W maps battery percentage using fixed voltage thresholds calibrated against the original cell's discharge curve. A new cell discharges slightly differently, especially in the upper and lower 20% of its range. This causes the indicator to skip or drop suddenly rather than step down evenly. Running one full charge-discharge cycle through the camera body re-anchors those thresholds to the new cell's actual behaviour.

LC200W showing dead battery icon immediately after inserting a fully charged replacement

This happens when the cell voltage sits at or near 4.2V on delivery and the camera's BMS sees a cold-start voltage it doesn't recognise as a valid charged state. Remove the cell, reinsert it, then place the camera on charge for at least 15 minutes before powering on. If the icon persists, charge the cell externally to exactly 4.1–4.2V using a compatible Li-ion charger, then reinsert and power on.

Frequently Asked Questions

The LC200W turns on fine but the battery percentage drops straight from 100% to around 60% within seconds — is the cell faulty?

The cell is not faulty. The LC200W's voltage-threshold indicator maps percentage to fixed points on the discharge curve, and a new cell discharges differently than the worn original it replaced. That sudden jump is the indicator recalibrating against the real curve. Run one full charge cycle — charge to 100% in the camera body, let it discharge fully through normal use, then recharge — and the percentage display will track evenly from that point forward.

The LC200W keeps dropping its Wi-Fi connection during recording after a battery swap — the original cell never did this.

Wi-Fi transmission draws a short burst of current that can sag a new cell's output voltage if the cell hasn't been cycled yet. At the voltage sag point, the camera's processor throttles or resets the wireless module to protect the circuit. Perform one full charge-discharge cycle in the camera body before using the camera for sustained recording with Wi-Fi active. If dropout continues after one full cycle, confirm the replacement cell voltage under load with a multimeter — it should hold above 3.5V during active transmission.

The replacement battery gets noticeably warm during charging in the LC200W — is that normal?

Mild warmth during charge is normal for a Li-ion cell in a compact body with limited airflow. What matters is whether it's warm or hot — if the cell surface exceeds roughly 45°C (uncomfortably hot to the touch), remove it immediately and stop using that cell. For normal warmth, charge in a ventilated area away from direct sunlight, and do not leave the camera charging on a soft surface like a bed or cushion that blocks the back panel from dissipating heat.
