Fits HTC One M9 and M9+ models; replaces OEM battery B0PGE100, 35H00236-01M, BOPGE100.
3.8V lithium-polymer cell delivers 2840mAh capacity for full-day smartphone operation restoration.
Connector slides straight into the battery slot with standard HTC contact alignment and friction lock.
Bench testing showed the BMS accepted charge without fault codes; fuel gauge IC required recalibration cycle.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle — this lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell discharge curve before high-current charging pushes current into an uncalibrated cell.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

HTC One M9 — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (B0PGE100)

This 3.8V, 2840mAh lithium-polymer cell replaces the OEM battery in the HTC One M9 and One M9+. It fits devices where the original cell has degraded through repeated charge cycles and can no longer sustain voltage under normal screen and modem load. Part number B0PGE100 confirms fitment across the M9 family.

  • M9 and M9+ family fitment: The M9 and M9+ share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS communication protocol — which is why one cell covers both. The 93.00 × 63.03 × 3.20mm form factor matches the chassis recess exactly, and the thermistor line on the connector carries cell temperature data to the Qualcomm charge IC on the board.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on an M9 board. The BMS handshake completed on first connection, the charge IC accepted the cell without fault flags, and the coulomb counter began tracking state-of-charge within the first partial cycle.
  • First-cycle fast charge hold-off: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate its discharge curve against the new cell before the charge IC pushes high current into an uncalibrated state-of-charge model. Standard USB charging is enough for cycle one.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the HTC One M9 after a cell swap

The HTC One M9 uses a coulomb counter paired with a voltage-based fuel gauge model calibrated to the original cell's discharge curve. When you fit a new cell, that model is still referencing the old curve. Under high-draw conditions — LTE modem, screen at full brightness, GPS active — the new cell's actual terminal voltage drops faster than the gauge predicts, and the system hits the low-voltage cutoff while the display still shows 20–30%. One full slow discharge to automatic shutoff followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% resets the fuel gauge baseline against the new cell.

Phone warm near the battery during the first few charges

A new lithium-polymer cell typically has higher internal impedance than a well-cycled original. During the first few charge sessions, the charge IC on the M9 board pushes current through that higher-impedance cell, and more energy converts to heat at the cell surface before impedance drops with conditioning. This is normal and reduces after three to five full cycles. If the phone remains warm beyond cycle five or the charge IC triggers a thermal throttle — indicated by charging slowing significantly mid-cycle — check that the replacement cell's NTC thermistor connector is fully seated, as a poor connection sends incorrect temperature data to the charge IC.

Frequently Asked Questions

My HTC One M9 shows the wrong battery percentage after fitting the new cell — is the gauge broken?

The fuel gauge IC on the M9 board was calibrated to the discharge curve of the original cell, so it reads inaccurately against a new one. Run one full slow discharge to automatic shutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100% with fast charging disabled. That single cycle gives the coulomb counter enough data to remap its state-of-charge model to the new cell. After that cycle, percentage reporting stabilises.

The One M9 won't power on at all after the replacement battery sat in storage for a few months — what happened?

Lithium-polymer cells self-discharge in storage, and if the cell dropped below approximately 2.5V per cell, the BMS triggered a deep-discharge lockout to prevent damage. Connect the phone to a wall charger — not a PC port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC will trickle current into the cell to bring voltage above the BMS recovery threshold, after which the phone should boot normally. If the charge LED never lights, try a different cable and charger before assuming a fault with the cell.

Fast charging stopped working on the M9 after I installed this battery — the phone only draws slow charge now.

On the first connection of a new cell, the M9's charge IC sometimes withholds the high-current fast charge profile until it completes an initial verification handshake with the BMS. Complete one full standard charge cycle to 100%, then unplug and reconnect the charger. Fast charging typically re-enables on the second connection once the charge IC has logged a complete cycle against the new cell's BMS. If fast charging remains absent after two full cycles, confirm the battery connector is fully latched — a partially seated connector interrupts the data lines the charge IC uses to authorise high-current charging.
