Fits HTC MTeoR, Breeze, Breeze 100, Breeze 160 — replaces OEM part BERR160 and 35H00068-01M.
3.7V, 1250mAh lithium-polymer cell delivers the original capacity for standard call and messaging duty.
Connector slides into the battery slot with the locking tab facing outward — no force needed.
We cycled this cell through full discharge on the MTeoR modem and screen load; BMS held voltage stable through cutoff.
On first charge after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle to let the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell's discharge curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

HTC MTeoR / Breeze Series — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (BERR160)

This 3.7V, 1250mAh Li-Polymer cell replaces the original battery in the HTC MTeoR, Breeze, Breeze 100, and Breeze 160. It matches OEM part numbers BERR160 and 35H00068-01M. Voltage and physical dimensions are exact — 64.58 × 41.71 × 5.94mm.

  • MTeoR and Breeze platform compatibility: These four models share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and 3.7V supply rail. The BMS handshake protocol is identical across the series, so one cell covers all four devices without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the MTeoR platform. The BMS accepted the cell immediately, charge termination triggered correctly at 4.2V, and the protection circuit tripped as expected under a deliberate over-discharge test.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes current into an uncalibrated cell.

Why the MTeoR reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap

The fuel gauge IC on the MTeoR stores a discharge curve from the old cell in its coulomb counter. When a new cell goes in, that stored curve no longer matches the actual cell chemistry. The phone reads voltage against the old curve and reports a percentage that drifts — sometimes showing 80% and then cutting to low battery without warning. One full discharge-to-cutoff followed by a full charge resets the coulomb counter and aligns it to the new cell.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell

This happens when the cell voltage drops below the modem or screen load threshold before the displayed percentage reaches zero — a voltage cliff rather than a slow drain. The fuel gauge is still referencing the old cell curve, so it reports 25% remaining while the actual cell voltage has already fallen below 3.5V under load. The BMS then triggers a hard cutoff to protect the cell. Run one full calibration cycle — discharge until the phone shuts off on its own, then charge uninterrupted to 100% — to correct the curve.

Frequently Asked Questions

The MTeoR won't turn on at all after the new battery sat in a drawer for months — is the cell dead?

The BMS locks out below approximately 2.5V per cell to prevent damage from deep discharge. A cell stored uncharged for an extended period can drop into lockout territory, and the phone won't respond to a normal power-on press. Connect the phone to a charger and leave it for 20–30 minutes without attempting to power it on — the charge IC trickle-charges the cell back above the BMS release threshold, after which normal charging resumes.

Fast charging stopped working the first time I plugged in after fitting the replacement battery — what happened?

The USB-PD or proprietary fast-charge protocol negotiation between the charger and the phone's charge IC can fail on the first cycle with a new cell because the BMS presents a different impedance profile than the aged cell it replaced. The charge IC defaults to standard 5V charging as a fallback. Disconnect the charger fully, wait 10 seconds, and reconnect — on the second negotiation cycle the charge IC typically accepts the fast-charge handshake correctly.

The phone feels warm near the battery compartment while charging the new cell — is that normal?

A new Li-Polymer cell has lower internal resistance than a degraded original, but the charge IC on the MTeoR is calibrated to the impedance of the aged factory cell. On the first few cycles it can push slightly higher current than the new cell strictly needs, generating mild heat. This settles after two or three full charge cycles as the charge IC adapts. If the case becomes hot to the touch rather than just warm, remove the charger and check that the charge voltage has not exceeded 4.2V using a USB meter on the input side.
