Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Huawei Ascend G660 Series — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (HB444199EBC)
This is a 3.8V, 2300mAh Li-Polymer replacement battery for the Huawei Ascend G660, G660-L75, and G660-L075 smartphones. It uses OEM part number HB444199EBC and matches the original cell's dimensions at 96.95 × 40.43 × 4.30 mm. If your G660 drains fast, shuts down unexpectedly, or no longer holds a useful charge, this cell replaces the degraded original.
- G660 series fit: The G660, G660-L75, and G660-L075 all share the same battery bay geometry, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — one cell covers all three variants without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on G660 hardware. The BMS accepted the cell without fault flags, and the fuel gauge IC initialised correctly on the first full cycle.
- First-cycle fast charge tip: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and complete one full discharge-charge cycle at standard rate. This lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes current into an uncalibrated cell.
Why the G660 reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap
The G660 uses a fuel gauge IC that tracks charge state against a stored discharge curve from the original cell. When you install a new cell, the IC is still calibrated to the old, degraded curve. This causes the percentage readout to be inaccurate — often reading full when the cell is not, or dropping sharply without warning. One complete discharge-to-shutdown followed by a full charge at standard rate forces the IC to rewrite its reference curve against the new cell.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% remaining on the replacement cell
This is a voltage cliff issue. Under heavy load — active LTE modem, screen at full brightness, or GPS — the cell's terminal voltage drops faster than the fuel gauge IC predicts, crossing the BMS cutoff threshold while the display still shows 20–30%. The BMS triggers shutdown to protect the cell from over-discharge. After the recalibration cycle described above, the fuel gauge tracks the voltage drop more accurately and the premature shutdowns stop. If they continue after two full cycles, check that you completed the first cycle at standard charge rate, not fast charge.

Frequently Asked Questions
My G660 powers off around 25% after fitting the new battery — is the cell faulty?
The cell is not faulty. This is a voltage cliff: under modem or screen load, the terminal voltage drops sharply, crossing the BMS cutoff threshold before the percentage counter reaches zero. The fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to your old cell's discharge curve. Run one full discharge-to-shutdown cycle followed by a full charge at standard rate, and the IC rewrites its reference against the new cell.
The phone won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months before installation.
A cell stored in a discharged state can drop below 2.5V, which triggers BMS lockout — the battery refuses to deliver current as a protection measure. Connect the phone to a charger and leave it for 20–30 minutes without attempting to power it on. The charge IC will trickle current into the cell at a low rate until voltage recovers above the BMS re-enable threshold of approximately 3.0V, after which the phone will boot normally.
Fast charging worked on my old battery but the G660 won't fast charge with the replacement — it just charges slowly every time.
On the first cycle after a cell swap, the G660's charge IC can refuse to negotiate fast charge because it has no calibration data for the new cell's impedance profile. This is intentional — the IC defaults to standard rate until it has completed one full charge cycle and confirmed the cell responds within expected parameters. Complete one full standard-rate charge, then connect to your fast charger; the protocol handshake should complete normally from the second cycle onward.
