Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Huawei C5600 / C5110 / C5700 / C5720 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (HB5D1)
This is a 3.7V, 900mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the Huawei C5600, C5110, C5700, and C5720 smartphones. It uses OEM part number HB5D1 and fits directly into the battery bay on these models. Capacity is 900mAh (3.33Wh), matching the original cell specification.
- C5600 / C5110 / C5700 / C5720 platform fit: These four models share the same battery bay dimensions, contact pin layout, and BMS handshake protocol — all validated against the HB5D1 part number. The connector orientation and cell dimensions (43.77 × 36.06 × 5.62mm) are identical across this model group.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell on the C5600 through charge and discharge under screen-on and modem-active loads. The BMS accepted full charge current, held voltage above 3.5V through the mid-discharge range, and triggered low-voltage cutoff at the correct threshold without false trips.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-to-charge cycle. This gives the fuel gauge IC time to map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes into an uncalibrated state — which causes erratic percentage readings.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the HB5D1 replacement cell
This happens when the fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve. The new cell hits a voltage cliff — a rapid drop below the load-sustain threshold — while the OS still shows 20–30% remaining. The modem or display draws a current spike, voltage collapses faster than the gauge tracks, and the BMS trips the cutoff. One full discharge-to-charge cycle without fast charging forces the coulomb counter to recalibrate against the new cell's actual curve and eliminates these phantom shutdowns.
Phone shows incorrect battery percentage after cell swap
The fuel gauge IC stores a learned discharge model from the original cell. After a replacement, that stored model no longer matches the new cell's chemistry profile, so reported percentage drifts — often jumping 5–15% in either direction. To reset it, charge the phone to 100%, let it discharge fully until it shuts off, then charge uninterrupted back to 100%. After one complete cycle, the coulomb counter locks onto the new cell curve and percentage accuracy stabilises at ±3%.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Huawei C5600 shuts off at around 25% after fitting the new HB5D1 battery — is something wrong with the cell?
Nothing is wrong with the cell itself. The fuel gauge IC is still running the discharge model it learned from your old battery, so it misreads the voltage cliff on the new cell and triggers a BMS cutoff while the screen still shows charge remaining. Run one full discharge — let the phone power off on its own — then charge it back to 100% without fast charging enabled. After that single cycle, the coulomb counter recalibrates and the shutdowns stop.
Fast charging stopped working after I installed the HB5D1 replacement — the phone only trickle charges now.
On the first cycle after a cell swap, some Huawei charge ICs default to a reduced constant-current mode because the BMS hasn't yet verified the new cell's internal resistance profile. This is a one-cycle behaviour, not a fault. Complete one full standard charge to 100%, then disconnect and restart the phone. On the next charge session, the IC re-runs its cell validation handshake and fast charge current resumes at the normal rate — typically above 1.0A input.
The battery percentage jumps erratically — for example, from 60% straight to 44% without much use.
This is the fuel gauge IC recalibrating against the new cell's discharge curve. The stored coulomb count from the old cell doesn't match the HB5D1's actual charge-voltage relationship, so the percentage corrects itself in visible jumps rather than smoothly. The fix is one controlled full cycle: discharge the phone until it shuts off automatically, then charge to 100% with fast charging off. After that cycle, the gauge locks to the correct curve and percentage tracking becomes stable.
