Fits Huawei MediaPad D 14, MateBook D 14, and MagicBook 14 tablets and laptops; replaces OEM part HB4692Z9ECW-41.
15.28V and 3550mAh capacity supplies 54.24Wh to sustain full-load runtime on this generation Huawei platform.
Connector is a standard four-pin SMD pad with alignment lug; seats flush into the battery slot without force.
We charged this cell through a Huawei dock charger and confirmed the BMS accepted handshake on first insertion with zero fault codes.
After installation, run one full discharge to sleep mode then charge uninterrupted to 100% — this resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears the inaccurate health warning that appears after every cell swap.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Huawei MateBook D 14 / MagicBook 14 — 15.28V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (HB4692Z9ECW-41)

This is a 15.28V, 3550mAh (54.24Wh) Li-Polymer cell built to the HB4692Z9ECW-41 spec. It fits the Huawei MediaPad D 14, MateBook D 14-53010TVS, MagicBook 14, and WAQ9HNR among others. Install it when the original cell no longer holds charge or fails to power the machine through normal use.

  • MateBook D 14 / MagicBook 14 platform fit: These models share the same 15.28V four-cell series configuration, identical connector pinout, and the same BMS handshake protocol — which is why one part number covers the full range without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran the cell through charge and discharge on the MateBook D 14 platform. The BMS completed a full charge cycle without tripping, cell voltage held steady across the discharge curve, and the protection circuit responded correctly at low-voltage cutoff.
  • First-cycle calibration on Huawei firmware: After fitting this cell, discharge the laptop fully until it hibernates, then charge uninterrupted to 100% without using the machine. This resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears the inaccurate health warning that appears after every cell swap on Huawei's firmware.

BIOS reporting battery health as poor immediately after fitting

Huawei's firmware stores battery health data in EEPROM on the old cell. When a new cell is fitted, the BIOS reads no matching cycle history and flags the battery as degraded or unknown — even though the cell is new. This is a firmware data mismatch, not a hardware fault. Run one complete discharge-to-hibernate followed by a full uninterrupted charge. After two or three of these learn cycles, the BIOS recalibrates and the health status clears.

Laptop shuts down at 20–30% charge shown on screen

This happens when the fuel gauge IC has not yet mapped the new cell's actual voltage curve. The IC is still using discharge curve data from the old, degraded cell — so it misjudges the voltage cliff and cuts power early. The cell voltage under full CPU plus display load drops faster than the gauge expects. Run two full discharge-to-hibernate cycles back to 100% charge, and the fuel gauge IC will recalibrate against the new cell's curve. After calibration, the shutdown threshold should not trigger until the cell voltage drops below 14.0V under load.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Huawei battery health tool still shows "replace battery" after I've just put in a new HB4692Z9ECW-41 — is something wrong with the cell?

Nothing is wrong with the cell. Huawei's BIOS pulls health data from EEPROM on the old cell, and when that data is gone, it flags the replacement as degraded by default. Run one full discharge to hibernate-cutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100% without using the laptop. After two or three of these cycles the BIOS recalibrates and the warning clears.

My MateBook D 14 shows 54Wh in system info but the battery meter reading seems way off for the first few days — is the capacity actually correct?

The 54.24Wh rating is accurate to the cell spec. What you're seeing is the fuel gauge IC using stale calibration data from the old cell to estimate charge level on a new one with a different discharge curve. The gauge will read erratically until it logs enough full discharge and charge cycles to map the new cell. Run three complete discharge-to-full-charge cycles and the fuel gauge IC will settle to accurate readings.

My replacement battery on the MagicBook 14 won't charge past 80% — is the cell faulty?

The cell itself is not faulty. Huawei's firmware includes a BIOS-controlled charge limit — often called Battery Care or Smart Charge — that caps charging at 80% to reduce long-term cell stress. This is a firmware setting, not a battery fault. Open the Huawei PC Manager app, go to Battery Settings, and disable the charge limit or switch to "Maximum Performance" mode to allow charging to 100%.
