Phone not powering on after the replacement battery sat in storage

If an HB5K1H cell drops below approximately 2.5V during storage, the BMS enters a lockout state and blocks normal charging to prevent cell damage. The U8650 will show no charge indicator and refuse to boot. Connect the phone to a wall adapter — not a PC USB port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without attempting to power on. Most BMS circuits on this cell accept a trickle from a wall adapter first, recover to around 3.0V, then allow the charge IC to take over and bring the cell up normally.
