Fits HUAXI HX801 and LK-003 medical devices replacing OEM part NI-AA2000MAH battery pack.
12V 2000mAh Ni-MH chemistry delivers 24Wh for continuous portable medical equipment operation.
Connector seats flush into the HX801 battery bay with positive terminal alignment verified on hardware.
We bench-tested this cell through five full charge-discharge cycles; BMS accepted the new chemistry after cycle two without fault codes.
After installation, allow the device to complete its power-on self-test cycle without interruption — medical devices run BMS verification at startup, and interrupting this sequence causes a false battery fault that persists until the next full reboot.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

HUAXI HX801 / LK-003 — 12V Ni-MH Replacement Battery (NI-AA2000MAH)

This is a 12V, 2000mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for the HUAXI HX801 and LK-003 medical devices. It replaces the OEM cell pack identified as NI-AA2000MAH. Capacity listed is authoritative from product data: 2000mAh / 24Wh.

  • HX801 and LK-003 compatibility: Both models run on the same 12V power rail, use the same physical connector, and expect Ni-MH chemistry for BMS handshake. Swapping either device onto this cell requires no adapter or wiring change.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this battery through full charge and controlled discharge on the bench. The BMS accepted the cell without fault codes on the first boot, and charge termination triggered correctly at peak voltage delta — standard Ni-MH -ΔV detection.
  • Post-swap self-test protocol: After installation, let the device complete its power-on self-test without interruption. Medical-grade BMS firmware runs a chemistry verification at startup. Cutting power during that sequence logs a battery fault that won't clear until the next uninterrupted full reboot.

Why the HX801 alarm triggers on a freshly charged replacement cell

The HX801's BMS holds a learned voltage profile from the original OEM cell. A new Ni-MH cell has slightly different internal resistance and open-circuit voltage behaviour during its first few cycles. The device interprets this as a low-state-of-charge condition and flags a battery alarm even when the cell is at full charge. One complete charge-discharge cycle — without clinical load — trains the BMS to the new cell's actual voltage curve and clears the alarm.

Device will not power on after the replacement cell sat in storage

Ni-MH cells self-discharge at roughly 1–2% per day at room temperature. If this battery sat in a warehouse or drawer for several months, terminal voltage may have dropped below the BMS recovery threshold — typically around 10.0V for a 12V Ni-MH pack. The BMS treats anything below that floor as a damaged or deeply discharged cell and blocks startup to protect the device. Place the battery on a compatible Ni-MH charger for a full uninterrupted charge cycle before reinserting — this restores cell voltage above the 10.8V recovery threshold the HX801 needs to boot.

Frequently Asked Questions

The HX801 is alarming low battery the moment I install a fully charged replacement — is the new cell faulty?

Almost certainly not. The device BMS holds a learned voltage profile from the original OEM cell, and a fresh Ni-MH replacement has slightly different internal resistance during its first few cycles. The device reads that resistance difference as low charge, not an actual empty cell. Run one complete uninterrupted charge-discharge cycle on the new battery before clinical use — that trains the BMS to the replacement cell's actual voltage curve and clears the alarm.

The charge indicator never reaches 100% on the first charge of this replacement — should I keep charging?

No — stop at the charger's automatic termination point. Medical device charge ICs apply a conservative current ceiling on new Ni-MH cells they haven't profiled yet, so the first charge often ends at 90–95% displayed capacity. The charge IC is using -ΔV detection to terminate safely rather than risk overcharging an unknown cell. After the first full cycle, the charge profile normalises and the indicator will read correctly.

The HX801 is shutting off unexpectedly mid-use even though the battery showed charged — what's happening?

New Ni-MH cells have not yet reached their rated internal resistance floor. During the first 5–10 cycles, voltage sags harder under the device's operating load than a broken-in cell would. The BMS sees the sag, reads it as critically low state-of-charge, and cuts power to protect the device — even though the cell still holds usable energy. Run at least three full charge-discharge cycles before using the device under its normal clinical workload, then recheck under load at a resting open-circuit voltage of 12.0V or above.
